thr/pole didn't work with me

I had 44 thrust 43 pole before respec, and I was disappointed with the damage output. 300-400 on yellow con tanks, and closer to 300 on the epic armour wearers.
By the way I am a briton invader, so my dex is not that bad.

I went for 50slash 50shield and I am happy with it.
300 on casters with no style, 350-450 with styles, brutalize, slam, guard, and 28 polearms, just for fun and tower-jumping.

If I stay near my healer, I block at least 80% of the hits off her, if tanks decide to attack her. If we guard each other with the 50 shield pala or armsman mates, and we manage to stay near each other in the battle-fever, we block helluva lot off each other.

90% of my deaths come from eating too much nuke.
(The rest is when I fumble and fall onto the ugly end of my poleaxe )

Maybe other thrust/pole armsguys can tell you how they are doing.

But, yeah... it's a good 'un damage output isn't optimum but it's fine. I really like it because slam + polearm and then switching to s/s to make the few killing blows really does work well... would be better slash however if you plan to use the 1h styles as thrust 1h styles for armsmen are crappy
