im reading vn-arm-board for more then a year, and i must admit, Shirf was one of the better TLs, and its a verry sad day for all of us. The Lastname idea is nice, tho Mythic-boyz nevah will care bout our poor goa-slaves. i would join it just 2 show we care ! i have started my arms on first day on excal, and i had much fun w it. i also agree we need some tweak, we have nothin real good 2 offer for a grp, uber uselesse unique RA and the 2specc thingy is smthin i will nevah understand. sure the grp block / parry bugfix
is fine, but the pure poleman gets no real benefit. i rly hope we get some love one day, tho my hope is down to zero after the mythic statement. anyway, WoW is what im w8in for so i might drive my arms arround, and wont complain, class is ok, but needs some more fun things for the long run.kkthhxbb Wolfen :O

Schirf didn't quit because armsmen weren't getting any love...

- Pallies aren't always available, but agreed if they are then they are highly desirable now in group, more so (if they are s/s) than a s/s armsman. Which leaves the s/s armsman as the poor man's paladin
- Interesting. A common tactic IS for a s/s paladin to take care of guarding healers/casters while offensive armsman seek out the enemy support classes, which can leave them out of range (the end chant range isn't great). So in THOSE circumstances I don't see your point.
- Agreed, though obviously using an end potion for every time we run out of end just isn't practicle.

It was both. He had argued for some time that the armsman class was exactly the same as it had been on release (apart from the ra changes that had affected tanks across all realms). He had called for a number of changes (i.e. "love") which he felt had been needed for some time, both for reasons of effectiveness of the class and for armsman player morale. His proposals were not seen as necessary by mythic (mainly because people were still playing the armsman class) and they also stated that the fact that the armsman class had remained unaltered since release was not a reason ("in itself") for changes to be made. So it was these two factors combined that led him to the conclusion that remaining as a TL was pointless.
Anyways, we're stuck with the class as it is, so it's basically a question of like it or lump it.

if id like to play ive to try with n without a group ...
sometimes i could be lucky n get nice group
like with Balde&quil few times ago or with Dragon Knights
few nights ago... got bunch ov rp n fun with nice tactic buff n collaboration...
but i could be unluky like most ov the time n find a clerik that
use Int buff on her self... or a minstrell that stik on u n go afk...
n that if i get a group... thats not easy...
now i wonder... why so many ppl argue against the loads ov infil we have...
just cuz with my infil i can go out n have fun with or without a group... wyle with my arms i cant ... but i still like to play him...

You just have to accept armsmen can't hunt solo and seriously expect to have much success. If you can't accept that then play your infil, or wait until you get a group for your armsman - patience is a virtue
