actually most "inventing" of these products does not take place in america, they just market well and throw money at the ideas. For example, the computer - first invented by Alan Turing (british) in the 1940s - expanded by americans in the 1960s - the rest is history.
In fact even though i dont particularly like germans, they are the ones that seem to invent everything

repent did say whole of the world an last time i checked usa might be able to blow up the whole world, but isnt capable of handling them vs whole world. However I highly doubt usa would attack GB, as GB is their most loyal ally atleast as far as i can see it. But if they did, I wouldnt know who would win actually. I think it depends on the reason why usa would do it. As to wether the rest of europe would help out.
However the only attack I see the USA doing vs a navo country is the USA attacking netherlands, because some of their citizens is being brought to the internation court. And that would be most likely more of a covered ops than a full out attack and that happening would be highly unlikely aswell.
and I doubt blair is the pet off bush. But I dont know what would have happened if blair hadnt supported bush for the attack on iraq.

Agree. But Europeans have a reason to be anti-American, who wants to have a country around that thinks it can play world-cop continuous? Gets a bit annoying after a while, especially when you find out that the only reason they "liberate" these countries is to take something from them afterwards. I know that Britain was involved in the Iraq war but most people in Britain were against it and it was only Tony Blair and some of his government that supported it. I also notice that a lot of Americans think somehow that the world needs them. Not sure where they got the idea that European countries need a babysitter but I've heard this from Americans all too often recently.
The patriotic bullshit annoys me too, but if that's what they want to do that is up to them. As long as they do not begin to force it onto other countries.

This topic has become quite heated. Let's look at this logically shall we. What causes someone to hate another peoples or a country as a whole? Typcial human social interaction shows us that hatred stems from jealousy. Sometimes its another man getting the woman you desire. Sometimes, its someone having a simple object you desire. So when you see comments that are anti-american, we must assume it stems from jealousy. No matter where you live or what idealogies you hold and cherish, there is no denying that in a world of survival of the fittest, there is only one clear fittest in the world. Lets discuss fittest shall we, its obviously a subjective term. For one to be "fittest" they must have the real power. So if much of the world hates Americans for instance, using what you have learned above, it is linked from the jealousy of survival. America is prosperous, that cannot be denied. Lets examine why that is.... America makes more money nationally than any other country. America also gives out more money internationally than any other country. Anyone who does not follow behind America is left in the dust, of that it is certain. It is only natural to then argue, that you might not like the way America uses their power... but to be honest, thats not up for discussion. Power is power is power. America can do anything it chooses to do, with little or no interference from a world of "unfit" countries. I only classify them as unfit because we have determined that America is the fittest, so therefore to be not the fittest makes you unfit. America is the only country in the world that can knowingly go against the international community with only sighs and "damnits" The United Nations wanted more time, America had no time to spare, and so either countires followed behind America for a piece of the pie, or they stfu. Some countries dare voice their opinion to shout out amongst the world "you cannot do this america" but they did, and the only thing these countries received in return is a national boycott of goods, plummeting their economies. So lets also examine other than jealousy why people might hate america. As for the destruction of the world trade towers. Most see it as a tragedy, of course some danced in the street. What does it represent? The unity of the world. America uses its power to make the world a better place for everyone. Putting billions of dollars into countries that need relief (Unless they have violated one of the above rules, of going against america.) And promoting free trade, so that someone in america can use products all over the world, and those in other countries may benefit from Americas superior technology. Some might say it is not superior, after all look at what japan has done with computers. But again technology is used on the basis of power in the world of survival of the fittest. New computer games hardly shows superiority over 2 ton bombs that gonna leave havok in its wake. But everyone is always entitled to their opinion. Now you may wonder why does America want to save the world and make it a better place? Because America is the only country on the planet that recognizes those of all nations. The United States is a melting pot of all races, religions and anything else you can imagine. To define what makes you an american is only to decide it is those living in the United States. Because America represents everything that is good in the world. When is the last time a boat full of 50 refuges washed up on your shore, many of them dying, only to come to your nation because of all it offers?

American films - English actors in these films are always way over exaggerated and if they are not exaggerated they have to be. They even take English actors and get them to put on an accent so as everyone in the world can recognise them for being English. Face it. I am in no way racist and especially not to Americans. I am pointing out the fact that they are being stereotypical and it annoys me when I see a film on TV spoilt by the crap in it because it is of their outlook only. If you did not see the point in my first post, go back and re-read, please. Because I was referring to something in the previous pages, which had been said, identifying exactly what the point I am trying to make states. I am not trying to tell the two Americans in this thread that they should move or anything. Handle this with a bit of maturity, after all I thought you were always laughing at yourselves. There are instances where you have read something and taken it completely the wrong way. I do not represent the whole of my country and you do not represent the whole of yours. If I have an issue with your way of life then it is very naive to generalise and attack you as the spokesperson for the whole area, as vice versa. Please do not take this the wrong way and just take a step back. America DOES stereotype and there is no denying it. Infact everywhere stereotypes... It is the way we live. I am just stating that a simple little thing such as you exaggerating our accents gets on my nerves. Oh... and another thing that I disapprove of, is the way you call American Football "Football", when "Soccer", as it is to you is actually the more deserving and older, as it actually uses the foot. now most europeans actually dont hate the usa because of jealousy. Some hate them, because the americans are such show offs and have to rub it in your face that they are stronger. Others hate the USA, because the americans tend to be to rash and rush into help countries where talking might have been better. And also a nice point of hatred is the dealing with Isreal, but thats most likely only for a few.
Now I am not sure if the USA is in the end the fittest, it is the most fit single country, but if europe gets together it might overpower the usa, except for military power. However economic power becomes much more important every day. Nice example is in WW2, it was partially won because USA production power was so large it overran the germans and japanese. Its nice to have a 2 ton bomb, but 10 1 ton bombs is in most cases better
. Besides the fact that if you have computers that are so fast, you might be able to hack the usa and do significant damage to the electronic infrastructure . However thats highly unlikely. Now another HUGE problem in declaring usa just fittest is because the USA do have huge loans with europe, but if europe would suddenly want them back. It might do significant damage to the american economy, however it will hit europe aswell as suddenly an important trade partner and home of some of our own businesses is gone. The problem is that economy is most important to call a country fit and the economy of europe and usa (and japan??) are heavily entwined. So you just cant say that one of them is unfit and other is fit. As something you also said USA cant suddenly boycot france heavily, as that will lead to reactions from within the EU. Which might lead to boycotting of the USA by the EU. Which would hurt both the EU and the USA heavily and most likely around the same size aswell.
Ow and in the end Europe went ok with it, because it agreed something had to be done and it was better to do go at as sort of one. Then completly divide and have to bad effect of a war, but less stronger help in rebuilding the country. As the USA has to do it all by themself.
Now the USA and Europe have two different ideology's. The USA likes to activley police the world and act with force, where as Europe does want the same goal, but tries to do it with time and diplomacy. Both systems have their flaws and their good points, but this is more the reason why America always is the one acting and not europe. Because we dont want to act with force. In our (european) opinion it doesnt do much good.
And as I said europe and usa want to help the world, both do it on their own way. Both do stupid things like helping out terrorists or going for own economy first. But in the end both do actually want to help out the human race.
And refugees actually come here aswell, they usually dont strand on our beaches. As that would have meant they fled from Norway/Great Britain/Sweden. Which would be kinda weird
. But they come by cars or planes or enter Spain,Italy, etc, by boat.so your point has to be the right one?
Now I think if the USA wouldnt go so blindly attacking, it might have been less hated. If the USA wasnt a threat it was harder to make it hated, but ofcourse people would still be jealous on it and most likely angry because the USA doesnt help them (enough?). However people wouldnt join terrorist groups so en masse to "fight" the USA.
And to think jealousy is the source of all evil is little naive. But as i showed above there are atleast 2 other reasons for people to hate the USA, which have little to do with jealousy.
