So i am wrong? SH is not a big advantage? And there is no difference, before and after SH goes live? All this RAs comes after, as answer to SH: TS, cammo. And soon perma TS. Yes, i think SH is the main problem and must be removed with TS. Then we can kill a same visible targets and rarely meet each other.

Yes if all stealthers would get the same stealther dedect range that would be fair.

But after gettin killed by assasins 4 this long time now because of intentinal blindness from sides of Mythic it wouldnt be fair 4 the archers.

If u want gank ppl 2 satisfy ur ego then uve 2 reckon that u get ganked 2 now.

Guys, 2 stealther classes, 1 use range, 1 use melee.
It cannot be made fair, its not sbs vs infils.
1 class has all his toa bonuses in range, other in melee, and so on and so on.

The archers main problem is assasins advanced detection and to some point see hidden, because it forces the archer into melee. The only justifications
to an antiarcher class goes back 2 years, just after beta.

If an archer spec solely for ts3,ap4-5, purge1-2 and ip2-3, he might have
decent chances of beating assasins once in a while, but he sure as hell aint
going to deliver emough damage to take down a mage with ap5.
It will be usefull only in a situation where the archer can find a non moving solo assasin 1on1. Also remeber ts today is cliprange, cliprange and 1000 range is 2 very very different things. The biggest problem with ts3 is that it
can be used in speed gank groups, and it should be modified so it only works
when archer is stealthed.

It has been a problem of DaoC to adjust balance between ranged and melee since day one, but as i have pointed out many times, if a class can allways chose to attack first it should only be able to win if enemy at disadvantage.
That is not the case between archers and assasins now.

Atm i have

23 points spend in ip, mostly usefull against assasins.
10 points in purge, usefull all around and no archer should be without.
10 points in ts, which can be used offense and defense.

43 points.

If patch goes live and i wanted just about the same i would probaly go

30 points for ip3, faster timer but less healing.
15 points for purge2, maybe purge1 since purge2 is mostly against stuns.
15 points for ts2 which will allow me to avoid assasins more easy.

50-60 points, and thats minimum compared to today, and requires a rr6-7 archer. I think the new setup will be much better in defense mainly because
of ts2, but in offense current ts backed up with full ip is better even on a 30 min timer. Very few will be able to afford ap1-5 on top of that, and i think it simply wont will be worth it.

Take a class like the scout, the fast purge timer will make it much harder to get of a slam/crit. Vanish3 might suck for archer who after a hard fight is winning having used both purge and ip. Assasin not relying on ip can now
pop a SL item after resting up, giving him the stealth detect advantage.
By all means do make fotm archers again, but this wont make you gods of rvr,
atleast not until rr10.10, and even then i have my doubts.

How many solo, standing still assasins are there in rvr today ?
