On 44 hours atm and level 17.
24 hours to level 20 sounds perfectly realistic to me.

Think the 2 chars Ive taken that far (EU beta) had a fair bit less: despite doing every quest I saw from level 1-20, fully exploring every zone I entered, plenty of messing around doing utterly pointless things both solo & grouped and all the other 'time wasting' but fun things youd expect to do in a new game. I expect the lag people complain about & generally higher numbers on the server if your playing on US open beta servers might slow things down a little, but your timing sounds far longer than Id expect.

But the levelling speed is irrelevant if your having fun doing it ;)

"character building" (bad word) sucks in wow, all chars looks the same and do the same, its no differant than a sp rpg with a inbuilt irc

In daoc is my chars a reflection of me and the female side of me
In wow im just an ugly troll with a wrong turned bib on my back looking exactly like every other troll and do the same as every other shaman. Will probably not buy retail but got alot of friends joining new to the mmorpg genre so u never know :m00: :m00:

I like the game alot so far Lvl 20 gnome rouge with around 24h /played and i have even been exploring alot

But as oboy said, the char bulding is abit to little, would love to be able to adjust hight weight abit. On the other hand armor even at low lvl's varies quite a lot in apperance.

The game itself seems great fun, and some quests are pretty cool and they tend to lead you to new places that fit your lvl quite often. Meny of the quest are simple kill task's but its ok, other wise there would be no mob slaying at all :)

I simply love some of the scenarios looks soo great :)

and there are so meny little but ekstreem cool features in the game, to mention some of the really nice onces, Ingame mail system, auction house, very easy loot settings, instant autorool on good items. hidden trainers, hidden chests wierd places :)

Regarding pvp, i havet really tired it much yet. But if its good ill fall in love with the game ^^

Btw gnome lady /train is awesome! ^^

Only thing that really annoys me about the game is that it aint out in EU yet :)
