I was also one of those Mids killed last night, I hadnt had so much fun since i started with this character, it adds another aspect to the game to have loads of hibs suddenly appear and for all of us lowbies to try and fight them until the main cavalry arrives. I for one dont mind one bit (plus I'll get my own back when I am high enough hehe)

So release time no matter what. Guess the inbalance is still to big when we compare Hib to the 2 others.

It seems that our lowbies in Yggdra enjoys being killed so I don't really mind wether you are ther or not. Just thought Emain would be more fun because of even level players from the start.

Actually I was not aware that hibs were outnumbered as bad is you say you are.

Anyhow - object of the game is fun and since you have fun going to Yggdra and the ppl making xp there seems to enjoy being killed, I don't see why any of us should bitch about it

Glad to see at least one Mid starting to understand why Hibs fight in a rather unconventional fashion and avoid large crouds Andro.

As for getting fair fights? I have only come accross one or two fair fights so far, and that was the duels we organised in emain, and yggdra over irc.

Respect to Irgil and Blackdeath for taking me on even though grossly out lvled(Well till Irgil got his zerker ). As for the rest of you, it would appear that even glimpse of a hib and you jump out of your skin and call the lvl 50's. I cant count the amount of times ive been taking on a yellow/orange(solo) or a yellow/blue(group) only for them to run away and come back with those red con lvl 50's. As ive said before, people who would do this.. grow some spines, im not that hard to kill.

And if you dont believe im not that hard to kill ask Melgar, Irgil or Radorm. I miss 2 out of 5 times on yellow cons, and fumble 1 out of 5, try fighting for once guys please.

He he - I was one of those killed last night - my ickle level 22 shadowblade and the rest of my group go aoe mezzed and the one shot aoe nuked.

Cerebus: You are right, VidX doesn't state himself that he killed greys. But, it is easy to figure out that he did, if he (and his group) killed so many that he states, in Yggdra of all places, known for being the hunting ground of our low levels. Now however we see with the above quotes that my suspicions were correct, they did kill greycons. A level 22 is grey to a level 4X, and those in Farnis group probably weren't many levels above him.

Now, I am repeating again what I said. I AM NOT AGAINST PEOPLE KILLING GREYCONS. In fact, when I was hunting in Yggdra I found it a fun experience with a little RvR break now and then, even if it meant I was killed.
WHAT I AM SAYING, is that killing greycons isn't something to brag about.

Sorry for the caps there, but it seems to be the only way to make people understand what I am actually saying here. I am not whining over greycons getting killed, get that in your heads please. Thank you very much.

I spent 1 morning this week protecting low levels in yggdra, and while we only had a total of 87 players on the server (= very dead), i managed to earn 3k RP in 1½ hour.

It's much easier to find willling bait in yggdra than in fx. emain or odins.. mainly because they know they are going killed anyway, and if they bait for me, they atleast get revenge

Hey Tradolf I was one of those "high lvls" who ganked your ass in Yggdra 2 days ago. You don't mind me getting the killshot on you do you?

It's always fun in Yggdra and most low lvls go there because they like the feeling of danger.
It's really fun I swear!!! Man was I laughing when this orange con infiltrator tried to stab me when I was sitting next to a group of 20s. His stealthed sucked that bad, I went up before he made his first blow and then he missed on me. He was the first ever orange I melee and prolly the last. Those 20s healed and fended me a bit and earned their first realm points. They too said it was fun and we were laughing our ass off.

What I'm saying is that they probably killed about 5 or something and then got rushed by a crap load of blue/green/yellow cons. A group of organized level 50's can easily take out as many blue cons as they like.

It's not like they killed 500 grey cons and then one level 50 came out and ganked their ass. I've said this before and will keep saying it.......

Lemme explain the function of alliance chat in Midgard m8: when people are getting killed by invaders in the realm, someone says so in alliance chat, so any Mid in the area could respond. You make it sound like we have some kind of Yggdra elite patrol, who does nothing but wait at the gates all day long to hunt any potential invader...

TO be honest I don't want the power relic back, its not like I will need it, plus as long as the mids have something to lose they will not fully comit to an all out attack on excalibur, as soon as we take the power relics, the mids will have the choice of attacking 2 places, and they won't have to bother defending thier own keeps anymore, so they will come with everything they have...so just leave the power relics where they are...or give them to the hibs,

Aye that's actaully a good idea, why don't we bust the relic doors down, and let the hibs have the power relics.

as you probably can see from that little log file, i was part of that group too.

many salutes to the ones who finally killed us.

Like people said before, we did kill some greys, we noticed a pack of people, we charged em and killed em. We didnt take one at a time, we just rushed in and caught em by surprise.
It didnt take long before higer levels came (up to red con). But because we were a nice group and they were totally unorganised, we still managed to take loads of em, even when we were outnumbered by 1 to 5.

Heck most of the xpers in Yggdra are grey or green to me and i am green max to a L50 (think i am grey though)

most of the people that come to the call to arms are normally around my level. with the odd 40+ that like defending lower levels

there is no elite defense team never was
there were people like Cruz who was a hero to all xpers on frontier and bombadil and others that i still see from time to time

but the normall defender are i would say 30-40s
there is no outwitting involved the invader group are normall very high level compaired to defending force.

Like last night we did get help from a huscarl and a troll archer which the silly hibbie group pulled with an yellow underhill and blue pet tree chasing after a green to me hunter.

and the albion did something similar but were a MUCH higher group all red+ to me

there was no way with the people around that we could have dented the alb group with who was there. but one of them got too close to gate and off went the huscarl and dealt with the nasty tin cans

When it comes to solos or small groups they do have tactics of hit and run , pick targets and evade enemy and to those i salute them.

but to the big groups of high levels mainly groups of 40+'s takes no tactics to deal with 20-35s (the main people in Yggdra) so please do not boast about using skill does not take much to sweep through undead camp and the sweep towards gate then sit near gate as most high level groups seem to do..

it is fun avoiding you and spying on you though normally 95% of time i am never found

Just a quick question....do hib/alb low levels hunt in the borders also...?

Don't answer if u consider this a trade secret or something...its just that I have mates who play on Excal/alb - and they say it is pretty much unheard of to fully camp a frontier area.

Of course we do, we have always invited anybody to come to our gates and RvR. Saves us having to run all the way to Emain or Yggdra.

I never went hunting in the frontier with Rev until well after level 30 - the risk just wasnt worth it when I could level very easily and with little risk from 28-34 in lough gur or coruscating mines.

Now I have hit level 37 - I tend to wander around mount collary - killing nething thats yellow or even the odd orange here and there.


Its a slow process tho I think theres more hib groups grouping to do bre leith or cursed forest because the exp is excellent and the the drops are nice.

Simple answer is no

some do venture out
but everytime i have been there no one is around
you do see the odd red or purple running around
or the odd grey or grey group (obviously newer guys not put off but rest of realm yet ) but they are rare.

Midgardians seem to love danger rarely no one in Yggdra 24 hours a day

we also have spots inside our lands where xp is good but have the Balls to come out on the frontier before L30+
(shameless taunt to try to get Albs and hibs out on frontiers xping )

I then got rezzed and some nonce starting hitting me with some pointy projectile sticks - i managed to stealth after a hefty sprint before getting zonked by some dude with what looked like a plank of wood (hibbie weapons..pah! ).

All those players (bar one) are lvl 47+. Grey cons can range from level1 - level 35. They are fair game.

And if we're going to start comparing the honour of some realms I'll say this : Not killing low cons didn't stop a certain Shadowblade and Hunter singling out and picking off the lowest member in our group (a grey con to him) three times in a row!

eerrmmm..... just want to point out that I would normaly find at least one maybe two orange con's exping in Yggdra as well as many yellow to green con's. So is it wrong for me to go their at level 39??

Hell all I see now are the mids all complaining that their level 20's are all getting killed and why attack grey cons? Well first off there not all level 20 and second they give realm points

Could not belive the other day I killed a Grey con while he was exping by the lake and I got 40 realm points for him. So that would mean that he is allowed to RvR and I'm not??

Sorry for the rant just getting sick of mids complaining that they are getting ganked in a frontier area. That and OMG it's 03:55 and i'm still at work :uhoh:

It is one or two Mids that dislike grey conn killers.

NOT all of midgard as midgard is the only realm that has loads of lower levels out xping on the frontier..
the other realms do not..

Greys get run over daily in yggdra but does that stop them form xping there.. NO not like the albions and Hibbies who do not anymore "due to Middies doing it to them"..

Some still do but loads do not have the guts to.

It is part of game not against rules so everyone get over it and stop whinging about it..and stop whining about people whining about it.
And do not use the well i was grey conned killed alot so i will do it to them from now because of that. that is Stupid too.
I have been Killed by People i have been grey to for sure and if i see a grey conn and a green conn i will attack the green conn and leave the grey alone --unless he has the balls to attack me

A grey conn invader was in yggdra late night and a Skald was sitting him stopping him from restealthing so he could not hurt any low level middies (there were none at time) I did not wade in and kill him i waved , bowed and moved on.


Same as now albion have got all the Str relics all the braggards and kiddies in Albion start Bragging and boasting about how great albion is, just the same as when Midgard took them..

and they will probably resurface once midgard get them back..
