You are so right about that but it can hardly be any challenge to you. Why not try going to Emain and kill someone your own level? Mabye this way you can teach yourself some tricks and mabye (just mabye) earn some real realm points. The few you get for those kills in Yggdra can't be worth the effort.

I don't really see why you need to go to the frontier to xp.. you can make 50 without stepping outside the home-lands at all. In fact, I'd say that the best xp spots are found inside, and not outside. :>

Can I just remind everybody here that Yggdra isn't full of grey cons. As everybody knows you kill about 5 of them to get the bigger boys out.

You kill a few grey cons, word gets out, lots of blue and yellow cons come out to play. Honestly, someone comes here with a funny little thread and everybody calls him for doing exactly the same as what the Mid/Albs have been doing since day one.

Yggdra = Grey cons (For about 5 minutes)
then
Yggdra = Good fight

To Blackacid, instead of moaning on these boards, why don't YOU get YOUR relic back. Unlike the Hibs, you have the levels and the numbers to launch a serious attack.

Just be happy you had a chance of RvR against some high level players other than in Emain. If you want to call anybody lame, lame, lame, call all the people who port to Hibernia and hang around the Emain gates all night long.

Now I have looked at this post many, many times and I am still unable to find the bit where he brags about killing lots of Grey cons.

He tells us that he killed lots of Mids yes, he is proud of the way he and his group outwitted you all and managed to get lots of kills in before you all ran off behind the many high level Mids you sent out to kill them.

Please, prove me wrong though and quote the sentance that tells us how he and his group killed lots of GREY cons at Yggdra!!

But the DAoC forums on barrysworld weren't created for you to talk about your conquests in the game or making jokes about the enemy realms. They're all about creating threads reporting your countries scores in the world cup even though we all knew anyway.

While not being the most difficult job in the would to gank loads of very grey enemy.
He is right you xp on the frontier you take the risk

Xp is good out on the frontiers as they are normally uncamped so have nice bonus xps on them also alot of places drop only money so no annoying runs to sell loot..

and looking out for and dealing with (either dying, killing or running from enemys) is great fun and lifts you from the boredom of leveling

I think so - I love exping on the frontiers just for the thrill that u might get jumped - keeps u awake and often keeps your group awake too

Doesn't really matter too much if they killed grey cons or not. All I said earlier was that these lowbies making xp in Yggdra must be too easy to kill for a level 40+ group.

Mabye there is no explicit part in the intial post that is bragging it is clearly implied between the lines. Heck, I'd brag if I went to kill a few lowbie hibs/mids in those frontier zones. It's just too bad those realms are designed so that it doesn't pay off to leave the safe zones that early.

I still don't see why you got to Yggdra all the time though. You kill a few grey/green cons and 5-8 minutes later you are wiped by the 10-20 level 40+s. To mee the travel seems too much for such a short amount of fun.

Come to Odin's Gate or Emain and send your low level rvr mates to Yggdra for a fair fight

In my experience, Emain is over crowded with Albs and Mids. Us Hibernians maybe last a few minutes. On a good night we might wipe out a few groups before word spreads and all the bored level 50's come out and kill us all.

Yggdra however is the perfect RvR zone. You can use the landscape to your advantage, lots of people around, we last longer, instead of facing 40 level 50 Mids we usually get about 2 or three chasing us around.

Emain is not a fair fight for us. Get it in your head. Until you guys stop running to get your high levels to come gank any force even threatening you with a fair fight then we will continue to search for better places that give us an advantage.

To me the travel seems too much for such a short amount of fun.

What do you think Emain is to us?

I sincerely doubt that many of the posters here were amongst those middies u killed last night - Don't let a few people who seem incapable of understanding our reasons colour your opinion of the realm as a whole

At the end of the day guys - We hibbies HAVE to adopt guerilla tactics - we CANNOT fight toe to toe with you. We havent got the numbers - our best chance for success rvr is hitting where and when we arent expected.

We cannot get near Emain without being spotted and ambushed by bored high level mids who will be facing the odd yellow and a load of greens to blues. We cannot fight on those terms - so we go looking for a fight on our terms.

TBH you should thank us. If it werent for the hunting parties to yggdra your lower levels wouldnt get a look in at rvr - because of us and our hit and run attacks - you can look forward to new generation of high level middies who will have experience of facing hit and run attacks and using the terrain against your opponent

though i did chase a L28-30ish Minstrel though was lucky that i had the wrong poison on my blade so it got away though badly wounded.. dam speed songs

so all 20-35(ish) albs and Hibs please come to Yggdra and play

u gotta watch druids tho - when u hit them - even if u one shot them - their damage shield will activate and unstealth u

makes us a bit of a risk

Andro, I'm sorry if my post seemed to strong, it was not my intention. What I wanted to get across was that Yggdra was a good place for Hibernians wanting a good fight in RvR.

After the intial few grey con kills we can actually get some fair, fun battles happening there. Emain is sometimes just too far to run when you know that you will be fighting against armies twice the size of yours and twice as powerful.

VidX came here and posted a nice, friendly post, it's turned a little nasty with people thinking he and his group spent the entire night ganking greys which wouldn't have happened.

Dear Tactical Geniuses

He he - I was one of those killed last night - my ickle level 22 shadowblade and the rest of my group go aoe mezzed and the one shot aoe nuked.

I then got rezzed and some nonce starting hitting me with some pointy projectile sticks - i managed to stealth after a hefty sprint before getting zonked by some dude with what looked like a plank of wood (hibbie weapons..pah! ).

Top job. I didnt lose any xp - I got excited...thats what the game is all about - I hunt in the borders - I take my chance.

Then again - that nightshade who went round giving people xp deaths was another matter.

...and to be honest - it is much better fun that organising a keep raid which is then broadcast by one of our realm guild leaders to the other realms so we walk right into an ambush. Now that was nice of him.

Bottom line - glad to see you - at least my 8 (my first) realm points means a whole lot more than the ones you got for me ...hehe

See you next time fellas when I will be level 24 - shake and quiver with terror as the amazing fumbling shadowblade breaks the world record for most number of consecutive misses in any one fight.
