I've done raids where I haven't even lottoed for anything. When the kick ass bard cloack dropped, I didn't lotto cuz I got something out of the last 2 raids.

I do my hunts for the realm, I do them so that people can walk away having had a good time and maybe a drop out of it.

I lay the saem rules on myself and my guild mates as I do the general population of Hibernia.

Please, don't say that everyone does hunts for their own selfish gain, because it simply isn't true.

Well done. This is truly an admirable trait to have. No sarcasm what so ever. Only a shame there are not more selfless acts like this in hibernia imho.

Well done once again!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I got nothing personal against VNG or Tyka.
I dislike the guys, ofc, I have no reason what so ever not to.
as for VNG, most of them are welcom on my hunts, a select few I choose not to deal with, but the majority are welcome, so no grudges there.
I'm not sure what Tyka was trying to accomplish by flaming my raids in every way shap and form he could think of.
I don'r flame his raid, if he wants to do them with 1fg 3fg or 50 fg, up to him, and if he wants to preclaim, up to him, it really doesn't concern me what so ever.
Seeing as this thread was about pre-claiming, I, like most others, posted my opinion about it. I don't know why Tyka saw fit to turn it into a flame Kama/Tali raids. I see very little point in it tbh.

Nov, the 3rd girl was a hotteh, gib more pics!

llixeraxu, thanks for the kind words :)

Kama, would you still do raids, if you had got every single item you could wish for? in all honesty

Anyone who knows me at all knows I really don't have a blood lust for items.
The blade from Galla is the only item I've ever really 'wanted' and I have it already.
I intend to do these raids for as long as the good out weighs the bad.

So to answer your question, in all honesty, yes.

But who cba to do a dragon raid ? Not me :)

object to this - i dont 'keep' anything.. only thing i have kept for my own use is one skill stone, thats all.

i have only lotto'ed for one item in all 3 raids so far, a glimmer striker ring.

what would your other option be?

there is like 4-5 items that no one wants at the end, should i lotto them again? because im fairly sure they will go to people who will just lotto for them just cus they didnt get anything else.

these are the af98 90% qua type stuff btw

as for the stones, they go to people who need them.

all the rules are visible to everyone, there is no 'pre-claim', i dont decide how many people show up, i dont decide that one day i will keep such and such item.

i keep the items at the end because its my responsibility to do so, and i try my best to give the left over stuff to people who can use it.

Same with my Galla hunts Saady, every raid has had at least 1 left over item. Talivar and I take turns playing Santa Clause and handing them out to high lvl active players who typically have very little cash to purchase SC'd items.
If I lottoed them the 2nd time it wouldn't be fair that some got to lotto twice, and others didn't. I think this is the best way to deal with left overs. I never seel them or anything, cuz I don't see them as mine to sell really, but I can completely understand why someone would.

Vantros don't talk shit about me.
So leading these raids which are almost always very stressful is only worth a pm at the end saying thx to u? (that’s if u even bother)

I seriously think you need to re-think this statement. NO pre-claims are the polar opposite of selfish.
Kama u missed the point, this is aimed at the ppl who attend raids and their attitude towards to hard work leaders put into raids, not the raid leaders... so u don't do it for the drops, shock horror neither to I but I think my efforts are worth something and like the next person I like a glowy sword or what ever.
I don't have a list of most wanted galla items or nething and I don't really know what drops down there that I could use but if stating an item b4 hand is the way to go which it seems to be I'll have a look through some lists.

All u ppl saying its not fair some1 might not be able to get the only item their on the raid for would be solved by stating the claim b4 the raid then they can leave if it was just drops they were after...

All u ppl saying leading a raid is not worth reward u should try leading a big raid for ur self u don't seem to know how much time and patients it takes, I feel physically drained after a big raid!

I want to know how this idea of preclaim is bad became so wide spread when most ppl here agree that its deserved (done properly). My guess is that a few (lets say uninformed) ppl started spreading the idea and ppl just picked it up without thinking about it properly, there's whole guilds (no names) that will put u on /ignore for even saying the word preclaim! The idea of this thread was to try and change some minds in hib and encourage a few more raid leaders out there.

If u cant win it by your luck, either dont have it or join more raids, just simple and fair.

why should the pple who organise it spend hours on it so you can get your toys.... twat

Pre-Claim - To claim an item before anyone else, i.e remove all chance that you wont get this item.

There is one reason when this is oki, thats when everyone (or at least 95%) of the ppl on the raid agree its ok, and then tell via /br or /c what item you want, if that doesnt drop, tough you cant lotto for something else, also you cant do 1/2 the raid something drops, and then you decided i'll have that,

Ever tried making a raid with 100 morons that wont listen ?
Nope didn't think you had.
When you make a successfull raid come back and spout your crap then.
Its only fair raid leaders get a pre-claim drop, if you dont like the rules then dont go on the raid.
So what if the raid leader only plays the game for drops.. what has that gotta do with you?
Each person plays the game for thier own reason, if you dont like it then lump it.

ps. I was velly drunk when posting last nite :p Snorting aftershock gets messy ;)

The whole concept of free for all raids (the phrase was invented by me btw) is something unique to hib excalibur. No other realm on any other server afaik does raids where nothing gets preclaimed or drops are predetermined.

We have it pretty good on hibernia.

I remeber after doing 40 or so legion raids an item dropped that I actually wanted. My thanks for the previous 40 raids I had done went out the window when I asked the team If I could take this item. People tend to turn up to raids and demand the terms and conditions be to there requirements.

Ultimatly though you should do raids cuz you get a kick of out the killing and completion of the raid, not cuz you are driven by getting item XXX.

(mind you if Im honest I was always in it for the itemz :) )
