Uhm kama im not having a problem with what peoples aim are, but i think more people would do raids if everyone was ok with raid leader pre claiming, dont drag up things that have nothing to do with the post jsut to flame me ok ? I dont care why you do your raids, just heard from people are not happy about them, and if it was all good as you try to make it sound, you would'nt make a whine thread about it on these forums.

a typical raid for me includes:
1)getting the people there and setting up groups for LFG ect.
2)Deciding on rules, which is never easy and always needing looked at agin when a new situation arises
3)answering a lot of questions before a hunt.
4)leading the groups to Galla

Tali takes over here and leads us inside Galla to kill the mobs

5)answering questions durring the riaid, which contributes about 90% of the text on my chat windows.
6)making sure everyone is listening to Talivar, deffinatly not the easiest part ;p
7) making sure I get the drops as quickly as possible so we can move on to the next mobs
8)sorting spam asking about stats and listing stats in cg as we go along
9)once the raid is over sorting out lottos (tkakes about an hour)
10) dealing with the whines after the hunt about drops
11) dealing with lotto's gone wrong (average about 2-3hours after the lotto to set things right) there hasn't been a single hunt that I haven't had to redo a lotto becuase something has gone wrong.

So yes, leading a raid is a lot of wrok, and sometimes the bad outweighs the good, and if you're lucky, over all the good comes out on top.

Well, as you brought this topic up, I am sticking to the topic.
You said, name me one person who does raids for the realm. I did. You brought up the topic of what peoples aims are, I am responding to this.
Point out one place that I have dragged up something unrelated to a previous post in this thread. Everything I have said has been in referance to something said by someone else.

this thread is about preclaims. I've stated my opinion on them. I won't go on hunts with pre-claims, instead I choose to make my own with no pre-claims.

I'll just add to this. I don't make anything out to be all good, as I've said before, and probably will have to say again, these raids can be stressfull and there's always whines at the end. Most of the hunts the good out does the bad at the end of the day.
Ofc there will always be someone who is unhappy, no one can please all the people all the time.
If my hunts are so terrible, why do I always get so many people returning and thanking me after the hunts, win or lose in lottos?
It's a small percentage of the people who whine about drops after the hunt. Last nights hunt was just too much at a bad time for me. I pulled that one off while I was ill and I let the children and their bickering get to me, which I usually don't.

Yes and i already said this, i would'nt count you as a good raid leader, you done 5 raids and half of them ppl been moaning left and right, so imo you are not a good raid leader, therefor you dont have to raise your hand, if your lottos was fine there wouldnt be all the hassle around it that it is now now would it, come back when you done a few more raids and got a well respected name in hib, no1 cares about what you did in alb.

And as for doing something for the realm thing, getting a sword for some random player who uses it in pve or rvr does not do shit, if you cant realise this, so calling yourself for someone who does something for the realm is bullshit as well, now read through my post again if you dont get it and dont come up with crap, stick to the topic.

Fun...agood experiance...a sense of togeatherness in the realm on any lvl...
All these things in my opinion are helping the realm. Helping the realm doesn't mean ONLY helping in killing albs/mids...imo

K, just read your other post, wonder when you will realise that people only show up on your raids to get their item, then they will bugger off..

You dont earn peoples respect because you do a FFA raid and get them an item, and on top of that whine about how much kids show up on your raids.

Care to explain the repeat visits from people who have gotten the item they want? Care to explain the repeat visits from people who have never even entered a lotto on my hunts?
Those who get their item and bugger off are free to do that, and it doesn't bother me. Everyone comes on these hunts for their own reasons, and the reason person XX came was to get drop XX then he buggers off, well, fine by me, it was most likely fun having him/her there while they stayed.
Personally, I go on these hunts for the fun of it, and when the fun starts being overshadowered by the bad, I will probably stop for a while.

I'm not trying to earn anyones respect. The last thing I would want to be respectted for is leading silly raids. I really could not care less if I have respect of people I don't know. As long as I am having fun on these hunts, and the majority of people are having fun, it's worth while for me.

Noone can kill those mobs alone, and everyone contributes to the actual raid. If you want to preclaim sth you might aswell ask people to "help you get that item" instead of asking them to "join a xyz-raid".

Some of us really dont give a crap about drops on raids, personally i go on raids like this just for a bit of fun.

If someone spends a lot of time and effort organising 50+ players collecting and fairly distributing the dropped items and sorting out all the BS that comes with any raid imho they should be allowed to preclaim an item before the raid begins.

But only the raid leader, having 'lackeys' preclaiming stuff is a bit lame.

Preclaim is fine, so long as it's stated at the beginning and doesn't change according to the whims of the raid leader, IE you want earsmach stinger, you dont' change if it doesn't drop and you lotto like everyone else for something when it doesn't drop.

If it's stated at the beginning people have the chance to decide if they want to go or not.

Afaik, CF /AS Message shows now raid schedules so a double book won't happen.

I can't remember seeing you doing a FFA raid and of course a invite-raid is much "easier" since every group got an assignment and the size is much smaller (-> easier to control).



I'm really confused about the recent verbal battles here between Tyka and Dreama.
