It is ok for necros to have tnheir pets on the other side of a walla and have the pet cast "through" a wall since the pet can indeed be reached.

The LoS issues I was referring to (which since have been fixed in a patch that came 2 weeks after we got SI in Europe) and what everyone is referring to is the "ability" for necros to ignore LoS and nuke through walls. This is no longer possible (well, on paper, I've been nuked through AMG by a chanter pet). However, GOA explicitly said that while we had the patch where necros ignored LoS, making use of this oversight was not bug abuse. Of course you are not allowed to hide the pet in geometry where it cannot be touched.

Anyway, if GOA says this is so, then it's a pretty clear case, and insisting on calling it "bug abuse" is as valid as Glottis calling pre-nerf zerkers "bug abusers".

yeah i did a interesting radar test yesterday i hid in a pinetree between amg-atk and unstealthed, all the time people came running at me once i got jumped by a infil, well known one at that.

It was a time consuming test i died 4 times´, due to lag i didnt see the fg´s in time and the one time i was jumped by the inf.
and 6/10 times i tried to get back there i didnt even get past amg.

and funnily enough it seems like the group drivers are the one steering people on me.

i may be exaggerating here but i am shure 7-10% of the alb population are using one of those radar progs.

I have been in grps as skald/shaman and some grps i am in run in a totally unusual path through branches up slopes and straight into a enemy group.

i dunno how to reveal people that use radar and stuff :/ wish i could make movies that somehow provided proof.
But if i made a movie all that would be seen is people turning towards me and that could could be due to people changing camera angle.

another thing is ask the peson directly, but we all know that that wont do anything.

We saw a post on vnboards about a guy who´s daoc crasched and he posted a crash log.
and that revealed he used one of those progs.

Not even that got him banned, so i doubt a "yes" as a reply would get anyone banned

Was an infil trying to get up stairs in mid side DF yesterday. (don't have screens of this, since he didn't get up I'll give no names) Was a few albs running through inner door at Sursbrook yesterday. ( Most of them ran back - /clap ! - but for instance Palla didn't; instead he started attacking me and Seeph on the inside - have screens to back this up )


Btw, What to do if a Mincer runs through inner door? I can't just take a screenshot of him and the closed door, since he could climb over the wall to get in? ( I'm fairly sure that's what one did last night, won't name any names since my memory can deceive me )

And it isnt fixed necros cant still have their pets attack through walls.
Also seen em hide em inside walls, as ive seen em stick their weapons out through the walls when they cast at many keep retakes.

But it is true, mythic clearly said that "abusing" the los thing wasent an exploit.

The biggest cheat in game thoug is the use of buffbot, players using those will in my view never be more than RR1L1
(Try use potions, Totems, and charges instead, would bring so much more fun into the game, and you will have somthing to use you'r chest's of gold on aswell)

Well as for the tree, maybe you lagged out of it?
And for you taking strange routes around emain....well a lot of people do that to avoid other people as well, thus finding each other. There really isn't that much width to the zones at all where you can pass and when you consider at peak times there can be upto 200 people in emain, maybe even more, you're even more likely to be spotted taking a 'less than ordinary' route. Which would of course coinceedentally become a normal route itself if the main ways are blocked.

rr2 and maybe played on a 56k modem or a slow computer and could jump up teh stairs with no problem.
Make the stair higher imo! then not just a little lag can mak u come up, then u pretty sure that if someone go up they surely lagg jumped or cheated ins ome way to get up, but I have come up a stair like that with adsl and just a bad comp...
make the stairs higher so no missunderstandings...
it's not that easy to know u are not allowed to jump up those stairs, especially if u play on a bad comp or modem so u jump up "normally"

Like i stated in 1 of my replies, my intention wasn't to have a go at the midgard population, with saying "another mid" i referred to it being the 2nd time i report a midgard player for cheating.

i hear ya, but i am afraid i am to oldschool in this game to not have considered those variables.

to many odd circumstances lately.

me standing in tree as i mentioned, i am 100 shure no name tag or anything like that showed throughthe tree i had no light on, and i stood ABSOLUTELY still, i only turned camera angle around 360 degrees all the time, and when i saw ppl approach i stealthed. and moved away.

And no it is no normal path, most of these came from down valley to this spot, in a straight line towards me.

I also tried a similar thing outside atk in emain. max 20-30secs and i had company. (to left behind big tree) sitting with my back against the tree sitting inside of it with only my feet sticking out.

Don't think making the stairs higher is the answer, i can already lose ~10% hp having to walk down em. Making em higher means i'll lose even more and makes the job for enemy stealthers even easier. If ppl don't read the news pages and keep themselves up to date on what is considered cheating, then it's their own fault.

If they cheat, they deserve a warning (whether they knew they cheated or not), if they do it again, ban em.

Yes, the fact NP will play "both" realms worries me.
They use radar, play overpowered classes...
They will probably monitor alb behaviour also, to get early warning of rr's.
Has been done by Hibs, also has been done by NP (logging on Alb to insult Filip and try to get into the emain cg).
So sure... keep trying to insult me, and stay ignorant...
