I am bone idle so I will just paste what I have just said in IRC -

<Tremlar> you may reply to this but I am just taking dogs out so will bbs. Problem - When I burn a film I have downloaded then go and watch it, no matter what film or disc, it gets to near the end then restarts again
<Tremlar> ooooh
<Tremlar> im here
<Tremlar> any ideas?
<Tremlar> no matter how long the film is or what it is
<Tremlar> king kong did it, memoirs of a geisha did it, two for the money did it
<Tremlar> all of them different lengths
<babs> what restarts?
<Tremlar> the geisha film did NOT help me going poker saturday
<Tremlar> the film does
<Tremlar> the time carries on on the dvd player as though its where it should be but the film goes back to the beginning
<Tremlar> and restarts all over again
<babs> the film you're watching
<Tremlar> yes
<Tremlar> I thought it was dodgy discs
<Tremlar> but ive tried others
<Tremlar> and tried different versions of nero
<Tremlar> and tried other players
<Tremlar> still does it
<Tremlar> its the most annoying thing ever
<Tremlar> even did it on xbox
<Tremlar> and that will play anything.

Any ideas luvs? Babs suggested using different software.

What format was the film originally?
How are you transcoding it?
Are you using the latest version of Nero?

They are all VIDEO_TS files obviously downloaded. They aren't from the same place or by the same person. I am using Nero 7 and I have also used an older Nero. I have also used dvd decryptor to burn one with the same results.

I have also used 2 different Pioneer dvd writers and also a Liteon external writer all with the same results. It has baffled me.

So they are original DVD files? Hmm... odd. Tried it on another machine, as it could be a windows problem.

Watching it on a DVD player (+ TV) or a PC? Can you dump a directory listing (with file sizes) and paste it here

On a dvd player and Xbox. It does it on both.

So you want me to take a screenshot of the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder?

Yeah. Sounds more like the DVD files are corrupt / wrong than the disc.
