I reckon we will see more of a convergence of tech. Phones will eventually replace lap tops.

All they need to do is overcome the crappy battery life.

Sensation build quality is awesome thx. Had no problems upgrading Android either, always quick and smooth. Never had to deal with customer services, as unlike iPhones they don't break constantly ;)

Don't be a douche, examples of more than one person who has had problems with HTC phones on this forum, let's hope you never have to deal with them. Apple CS is very good, but mine hasn't had any issues. My HTC is now a brick however.

Got my Samsung Galaxy S2 White the other day, brilliant phone, runs everything smoothly. Had a choice between this and a iphone 4S but I chose the Galaxy because iphones are overpriced, overrated and quite frankly too restrictive for my liking.

Managed to talk my wife out of getting a shitty iphone. The turning point was the sims 3 though so I feel a little dirty.

It's really not all that shitty though. It's just being tethered to iTunes that can be a bit annoying. The phone itself is good and the main appeal for it are the apps. Whenever someone makes a mobile app, the iPhone will always be the platform that gets most of the attention.

iTunes is more then a bit annoying. The iPhone and the OS are fine, but nothing special.

My gf went from an iPhone 3g to the HTC sensation. Connect to the FTP and get your music anywhere. Drop photo's, etc on there when you want. Adjust shit on your phone as you please, etc, etc. The biggest annoyance for her was the music and if you are somewhere else and plugin your iPhone and connect to iTunes on another machine things tend to get very messy.

Currently I have 3 accounts (iTunes) on my computer and I have to pay close attention to what I'm doing as to not mess up the iPhones. It's just a farce. Install Cydia and your IPhone improves tenfold. But then you basically have an Android phone :)

I would go S2. Nexus Prime is a step to far in screen size for me I think one hand operation on that will be difficult for you unless you are Andre the Giant. I am waiting for Samsung to just release a 7 inch tab with a 1080p screen and a Bluetooth headset and say that's your phone now.

The sensation is a lovely phone and the new Beats model the XE is even better but my Sensation is still with HTC and they are back to denying they have it. So I have really been put off HTC.

I am currently using a BlackBerry and getting some really funny looks from my team. But its simple to use and for emails and text messages it is a market leader. It also has my most used app Whats App and TuneFM.

Most exciting phone coming soon for me is definitely the Nokia Win7 phone that thing could be great.

Erm...no it won't. It'll be crap
And what makes you say that? Nokia's excellent track record on build quality or the growing OS?

I suppose i should of said IMO, as of all the phones to pass though work this year its the only one I will make a point of trying.

I just think Nokia have been left behind and Windows mobile is a bit poor...
Their latest batch of phones look a bit poor and are way under spec compared to the likes of HTC sensation and Galaxy S2

With the OS the phones fly though. They might be under spec in a side by side comparison but the Win Phone 7 OS is very fast and responsive. It is getting more and more apps and I think it could have a big year. I do think Nokia are mad to go exclusive WP7 though and Android Nokia would have been very nice.

I wonder of new Battery Tech will be the next big hurdle for smartphones. They have put mini projectors into camcorders now as soon as the batteries catch up you could add a projector to a phone :)

Aye, battery power is something they definitely need to work on. When carbon nanotube technology takes off, you'd only need a tiny battery and it could last ages

Battery tech has been an issue for decades and it has been worked on for decades as well without any real results, plenty of advanced ideas but little in the way of real street level progress even though it is needed to solve problems from phones to cars.

LOL, you can tell Nokia's teamed up with Microsoft, this video is soooo corporate smarmy, where every Smartphone user is a beautiful business executive, lovely ideas though, nothing new tbh, just done nice.

Not a fanboy at all, just speaking about my experiences of the the phone since HTC were being criticised. Not had any problems here. It's called balance. ;)
