So am I doing something wrong here or has my phone suddenly started using 3g to download apps rather than the usb cable? Because it seriously can't take 10 minutes to download 4mb.

even on my wife's poxy little Wildfire on the crappy Vodafone carrier it can D/L 4mb in about 20 seconds

Turn off data? Or make sure the wifi is connecting properly...

I don't have any wi-fi because I have this strange fetish for Ethernet cables and you sadly can't plug those into the phone(yet). I ended up factory resetting it and its working fine, so I guess I fucked up some setting somewhere when randomly ending up where I absolutely did not want to go because I'm still getting used to not having any physical buttons to press. I miss my 3310.

But most modern routers have wifi even though you may use cables!!
You will feel libertaed if you use wifi!!

I HATE the new Android Market interface. Horrible. The old one worked fine

I find the new Market interface a lot like WinPho7 tiles.
I'm not exactly happy about it either because it makes it harder to find exactly what you're looking for, or browsing for things you want. One thing that this new version plainly shows is the bias Google has for the apps it is pushing at any particular time.

weird one... Woke up this morning and the Beautiful Text Clock was 40 minutes out of sync with the Android clock... Seems to be ok now but we shall see.

Animated weather is one of the reasons I like Sense. It's nice but not totally in your face.
That looks like a similar thing for non-HTC phones. Good find!

I use Vlingo for voice control while driving. True hands free dialling.

It gets it right most of the time, but it's tough speaking a text while the engine is going.

And it seems that my phone isn't on the list of devices for that Wind-Up Knight. Pity really, it looks like a cross between Rick Dangerous and Mario.
