This will give you an idea of the current Alb mentality. I was in the defence /bg last night, solo as usual and was reading the Alb comments. The one that stuck in my mind was from a well known player whose reaction when questioned about forming a keep retake was as follows.

" We will stay at Beno and wait till Midnight before retaking keeps".

So because 1 alb is saying that, you choose to make all albs think / be like that?

DA CM and 5-6 from DT where running together, we first tried on bold tower 3, when we took it, there
was like 3-4 fgm to retake it and farm us, rebuffed and we did an other try on bold tower 3 with the same result.
DA group took Berk t4, while we where working on Berk T2, both towers taken, and we got all wiped again by the
mids. Beno was getting trebbed from the bridge, the zerg was at beno, we as 2.5 fga wanted to upset the mids
by attacking fens, to give the albs at beno some breath. Unfortunally Beno keep was taken when we where not yet
on Fens, we decided to take fens t4, and then start on Fens keep, if we would be wiped we would go to the power
relic gates to defend. Outher door Fens was arround 35-45% when we got killed by pretty much mids. Ported to relic
keep, killed 1-2 fgm there, went to renaris, killed the hibs there that was on the tower, then we rushed to beno
to help DA's group with the beno take, when we arrived Sick had opend both doors for us (Cheers ) and we helped
DA killing lord and some lowbie mids. We started on boldiam keep but that was not a good moment to do, some people
logged, and we merged group to make few more runs before we logged. Played from 20:30 until 01:30 uk time. The only
times we where longer then 5 minutes at a keep was waiting for LD's.

Only thing i can remember saying in BG was asking subedai 'how it was to get f*cked by my axe'

my take on yesterday would be

1. mids PvE the keeps from about 8am
2. albs was fecked most of the day running around with 2 bgs up ffs
3. mids waitted till close to prime time to take the STR relic (not sure how i stand on this taking all the keeps with little or on defence is all most as bad as ACing)
4. relic placed in Fens albs closed relic gates (woot after like 3 hours or something)
5. mids reopen power relic gate
6 albs all move to power relics bar about 2fg and wait
7. and wait
8 the bg merged about 9pm
9. alb killed/outnumber/zerged the attackers at relic shrine
10. albs failed at bold, lack of comms really and genral being alb got us there.
11. went to beno stayed there for about 30 mins semi afk incase mids came back up
12. rvr seems dead i logged and hit the sack

The problem that Albs now have is this PVE keeps back mentality and this is what is wrecking what little fun there is left to be had on the server.

I have said it before and I will repeat it. It is time that all keeps were set at a level in proportion to the numbers online. For example, as numbers get lower, the number and level of NPC's should increase, making it harder for those who insist on playing in their own special way, and we all know who they are.

It saddens me to see Albs qqing when the Mids make an effort to get the server started again, if it carries on like this what is there left to enjoy. No matter how hard Albs try you cannot polish a turd.

Repped for an alb with some sense!

Tbh its not all albs who do ac raids (yes lots of us do sleep), but its going to be ping pong all week with the relics now. I agree it does spoil the game but theres nothing we can do about it as its still a 24/7 game, until that changes it'll always be like this.

It really does make me laugh everytime I see these threads (made by the same people day in day out).

If its such a problem maybe change server like many have already? (including myself for a majority of my playing time nowadays) The german servers for instance have 24/7 action, no whine about adding and zones to cater for those that wish to 8v8 etc, all playstyles can play in peace (you know what i mean ) and enjoy daoc.

I must admit i wasn't fully into the foreign server move myself at the start but would never go back now, has been a good decision from guild and we've all enjoyed it so far. Can only but fully agree with sharkith, and if you've toaed a char before, the language barrier (apart from some quests) does not even come into consideration.

that was me, suffering defeat, after defeat, after defeat, at a certain moment i called upon all albs to create a deadlock where we just defended Beno an renaris to prevent us losing more terrain. i turned the mid blitzkrieg into a sitzkrieg. Hold the line till the assault stops, that simple. Some find it boring, but it works.

i was absolutely UNWILLING to dedicate our forces at beno to a cause that would lead to the BG at beno to wipe, and us losing Beno (and still it happened, and we managed to save the day by wiping the mid BG at power relic and retaking beno).

I'm better at deffense than openfield warfare and when i lead a BG at such a crisis situation i will press for a rugged defense.

Last sundays raid was the largest gathering of hibs in RvR I've seen in months, and we didn't even top 55 in the BG, on paper.

I can't understand why people still play this cluster still, i mean you have a dying population and a group of albs who regardless of how you take a relic will take it back when 99% of the server is in bed.

As from tomorrow (10th of January) 1.87 will go live, this means there will be a 150% xp bonus in both classic and SI. It takes roughly 2-3 days to get to 50 unbotted, so if you have a bot it will be very quick.

The US servers are in a healthy state atm and cater for everyone, from 8 mans to people who enjoy siege. Classic is 24/7 pvp due to the many timezones on it and the ToA servers pretty much the same, but not as busy off-peak US time as classic is.

Just because you cant understand or know where to look doesnt mean its not whine.
When Nocturne played we where getting nonstop whine on everything from 'omfg lamo straf0rs' to 'omg you kite, thats cheating'. You get the picture, the germans have their own version of FH on the 4players boards and believe me, theres quite alot of whine there aswell.
