Lol

Aye but it does have 5-20Gbs storage space though - most other MP3 players that price rely on CF or SM cards, and are therefore limited to 512Mbs, which is the highest that these cards go I think.

You can get a Firewire card, not expensive, and they come as standard on most DV editing cards too.

No so, Creative have had a "jukebox" out for ages, has got at least 6Gb and is around £50-100 less.

Oh yeah, I forgot, Soundblaster cards have Firewire too, and their latest Jukebox player has got Firewire.

Goodo, cos I'm seriously mulling over upgrading this SBLive! Value I have to an Audigy player soundcard.

Worth the money?

And that jukebox, was that that Nomad thing Creative released? I had heard there were problems with those things?

I currently still have a Thompson Lyra, which takes CF cards, but I can't re-install the fucking software for it as I've lost me serial number for the Real Jukebox app you have to use to convert & upload music to the unit.

DOH.

:(

The Audigy range of cards have a Firewire port located on the soundcard with the Plat versions including one on the Audigy Drive. The 5GB version used to cost £349 and while creative have had the Jukebox out for a while now it still looks ugly and big.

I think they have a different number of pins to what the ipod requires if i remeber rightly though, the creative cards have fewer pins or something.
