I just spilt a pint of beer on the desk!!!
! It made it to the puter, the plug, the monitor, but nothing started blowing up.. I faced the danger and turned off the plug at the wall with my trusty USB Headset!
Once the danger was out of the way I became sick with rage!! Tearing the computer parts off the desk on to the floor, then I began drying the desk with a towel, a noise could be heard from under the desk..a sizzling sound...I removed a few drawers to reveal another plug on the wall
it had some black stuff coming out of it so I decided to go out to the garage and switch off the power to the house.
I returned with a screwdriver handy and screwed like I'd never screwed before, removing the plug from the wall revealing a lot more of the blackstuff I'd seen on the front of the plug! Removed the wires and taped them up, have left it like that for now.
So, any ideas of how I can avert this dangerous episode from repeating itself again?
PS Where should I go for a new wall plug panel? B&Q?
