Yep on sky they are saying as he planted his foot with control of the ball its a TD then the ball was battered away seemingly the rules are different in the end zone. But they also said they were not sure if the rule was both feet need to touch at which point it was stripped before his left foot planted.

They could but it doesn't seem likely. At some point in the next month the Colt's have to decide whether to release Manning OR exercise the 28 million dollar bonus stipulated in his contract.

The thing about the NFL is that it has a salary cap and while fitting Manning and Luck into the same team is technically probably possible for the Colts it hamstrings them makes no sense in the long run.

(except if you look at it from the Rogers angle where he had 3 years in Farve's shadow to learn from one of the best and develop outside the limelight)

This past season showed how poor the team really is. What they should and probably will do is get Luck on a cheap 4 year rookie contract, trade Manning away for a couple of high draft picks and use those picks and the extra salary space that would come from trading Manning would free up, to build for the future.

Who knows though the Colts stadium isn't referred to as "the house that Peyton built" for no reason. The fans up there worship him.

What happened to the pats? They looked shellshocked in first quarter, like virgins at their first orgy.. 12 men on the field of play? That awful safety on their first offense. Not how I expected it to pan out at all. Thought they did well to get back into it after that

I still don't think the Giants won that game, I think the patriots lost it. That stupid pass to a clearly half speed Gronkowski that Brady then was stupid enough to then underthrow, that pass that Welker should have caught, that pass that Branch should have caught. They had enough chances they just didn't put the Giants away when they could.

Couldn't even face the internet until this morning.

You know what the worst part was? It seems like every time they beat the Patriots it's the same. They get the ball back with 2/3 minutes on the clock....make one ridiculous pass play and then just milk that for what they need out of it.

I have to give Belechik credit for letting them score at the end there it was a smart play and could have worked out.

Now I have to wait 7 months before they play again

That's exactly what hsppened against the packers in the championship game though. The amount of missed passes and drops was unbelievable. Fair play to the Giants though, they did what the packers did and hit a streak at the most important part of the season.

I tried to watch it on the BBC website, I made it to the end of the first quarter until I was raging about the ad breaks that had to be filled by 3 people with the personalities of a block of wood. It gets worse every year for adverts, I thought it was bad enough when I went to Wembley to watch it!
