The funcom downloader is sneaky. I leave it on and go to work, come back its at 16 kps. Pause then restart and back up to 200k. Seems to gradually drop off after 1 hour or so. 17 hours and only 27%

Least I got my key from amazon, plus early access is back open and I got in \o/.

I left the downloader on last nite and this morning it had worked its say to 140k altho most of the time while i was watching it it was on 100k

on 124k for me now and i've had it on 3 hours doesn't seem 2 slow down for me....doesn't seem 2 get that quick either tho bah

60% odd downloaded after 36 hours. the suck. Gave my PC a rest today though, will start it downloading again when i get home

I would if AoC wasent designed for melee, and the fact that the mage classes are so poorly balanced, it made the choice quite simple

They seriously need to fix their broken client. Randomly says another process of the game is running even tho everything is closed. Sound / other settings saves properly except video ones i have learned now.

Had that too, just waited 2 min then it went away and i could restart

It's a rather big program, so shutting the process down takes a moment because it shuts down too fast. the interface that is.

Which is nice though, you can get on with your business while it shuts down on the background.

Anyway, this is still not the finished product, MMO, it's never finished.

You usually need to give any MMO up to 6 months to work properly, thats what you get for early adoption

Anyway, nearly 72 hours solid downloading and its done!

Now to patch it

Aye tis almost time now Changed my class choice to ranger due to getting a free "Bow" instead of a mount, I figured I can get a mount later anyway (lvl 40) so bow appealed more to me decentish bow for 10 or so levels sounds reasonable.

Decided on this because all of my previous choices for MMO's have been melee/hybrid melee classes no matter what game i've played decided on a different approach for a first.

So decent dps here if any grps need
