Alb BG Tactics

For all you people that take part in the BG experience, this is how you should go about things in order to fit in with everybody else (note that nobody should ever deviate from these guidelines on pain of winning):

1. Camping MTK

For those of you that don't know, MTK means Midgard Tower Keep (or MPK for Portal if you prefer). This is the place where those nasty Mids enter the battleground. Camping it is a display of our superior numbers, and should be accomplished as often as possible. Don't listen to what some people may try and tell you, if you get enough troops together it is entirely possible to overwhelm the keep wizards and storm your way inside, slaughtering the Mid fools as they portal in. If you should happen to find yourself alone at MTK, a good way to get the stupid Albs that are doing other things to come is suicide and start whining for a rezz. This is an especially good tactic if you've suicided on 5fgs of Bonedancers, because it means you all get to regroup together on the pad at Castle Sauvage.

2. MB ---> MTK and back again

It is perfectly safe to run back and forth along the road, you will have a clear view of any enemies as they don't have the brains to try something like attacking from the side.

3. Attacking CK

Again, CK means Cental Keep. This is your main objective in the battleground. It's quite easy to take, just ignore the NPC guards and any defenders that may be inside, and order all your tanks to start attacking the door. One or two of the more churlish Albs may start on some mumbo-jumbo about 'siege weaponry', but don't worry too much; by the time anyone actually gets a ram you'll probably have the first door down so you'll have saved yourself having to buy two of them!

4. Defending CK

Military forces throughout history were n00bs. Say it with me. A defending force can be far more effective if they mill around outside the gates rather than behind a thick stone rampart with casters and archers lined up across it. Plus, what would the tanks do then? No, the way to go is clearly running around outside and MAYBE leave a rezzer or two inside.

5. Sharing Information

On no account should you ever give away a location, in case one of your group is a spy. If you should find yourself under attack, simply spam 'help'; if you really do need to give a location, try something like 'stealther by the tree', TRUE Albs will know what you mean.

And that's all you need to get you started! After a while, you may start to notice that Hibs and Mids do not seem to abide by these guidelines, but that's why we are superior to them. Have fun!
