Can anyone reccomend a decent one thats not crazily noisy (minimum 100 litre tank) please?

Or any good tips for soundproofing one - I dont want to be lynched by my neighbours.

Trouble is with air compressors of that size you'll either be looking at 400v electric (industrial, obviously) or petrol (crazy noise) otherwise they're mostly fairly crap workshop kit. About £300 should get you a 240v one though, look around for Clarke or Abac compressors - the latter would be the better bet for reliability but price might be a tad higher.

You can get some whisper quiet (40db) ones but they have small storage tanks (25 litre).

Thats not a huge issue as long as the compressor can keep up with the demand of the air tool but then again the tools are likely to be noisier than that.

I fancy an oil free one as I dont fancy breathing in a ton of oil fumes in an enclosed space...

Some of the dental ones on ebay look a decent buy - hmm - decisions decisions...
