Spader sounded (at first) like he was trying to emulate Tom Hardy's 'Bane'.

Only thing i'm hoping is that this isn't just a prelude for civil war/infinity war and that it can stand on its own.

Inevitable though, so might as well enjoy the ride ;)

Not surprised, movie looks amazing tbfh :p get yourself to the midnight launch :p
I will otherwise I think my son will disown me. Generally I do enjoy the Marvel films but have grown a little tired of the Earth/Avenger's part, much prefered Guardians.

Aye Guardians was ace, can't wait for the 2nd one. I don't mind Avengers really, what's the alternatives? a bunch of remakes and some shit romantic comedies heh.

I'm still underwhelmed by the new trailer tbh.

Even less bothered than I was about the first trailer. The best of any of them was when they were just sat around talking.

I love how marvel have frestad a decent strategy in order to bring their comics to life. Sometimes I feel there is too much criticism and the aim of their strategy is forgotten... Remember they have a long term story arc (films announced to 2019 and planning currently to 2028) and it will be (I'm sure) a fun journey where some films stand out more than others but all will be relevant to the plan :). For this film I am super excited, I love the interaction between they key players. I think that this film may leave the audience feeling a little broken in terms of the relationships between some of the Avengers, but it is a necessity for the final chapters of phase 3 :)

It's a cool plan, but as said before the movies still need to stand on their own. Much like comics.

Avengers 2, GoTG 2 will have some work on their hands since the initial "oooh" has worn off and they need more actual content in there. That's why the A2 trailers worry a bit, since they seem like a prelude.

Not criticism, haven't seen them yet, just safe worry :p

After seeing that, I can't help feeling like: 'oh god please no more super hero movies and reboots'

And I worryingly agree with @old.Tohtori here. But this is really just a plan to make obscene amounts of money because they know people will suck it up even if the movies end up being drivel. Look at Transformers ffs (not related I know), people line up in droves to see that shite.

Son has booked me in for 8pm on day of release. Cannot wait, gonna be a great popcorn movie :) Still won't be as refreshing as Guardians of the Galaxy but nonetheless looking forward to it.

Well I'm booked for the 8.30pm showing on Thursday.

Could have got the midnight showing on Wednesday night, but chances are I would fall asleep at home well before, let alone if I made it to the cinema, make it to the end without nodding off

It was tempting though

I'm also going Thursday as Friday is a day off, no real fun going out in a school night when you know you gotta be up at 5am

Yeah, just sat right to the end with pretty much most of the other people, there was a definite collective 'Awww!!!' when we realised.

Film was very good, a lot more background story of some of the characters in this one, great one liners, very funny in places. My only gripe was the first 2 mins of the film which starts straight in an action piece, the CGI was very noticibly cartoon like, like they were trying too hard, but that's all, I really enjoyed it

Loved it, flew by. And yes Joss Whedon, "I didn't see that coming".

This. I spent the first minute thinking "Oh god, they've fucked it. This looks awful."" It got better real fast though.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. I was like 'no no no, please don't be like this.....'

It wasn't bad, more of the same old though. The actions sequences were edge-of-seat though.

Edit: agreed on the above, started off I was like "this is soooo shiiiiiiiiiittttt" but it picked up.
