... and the fact that goa cant even get things going with their flash of d00m page is not really looking great. Hmm kinda looks like an easy decision wether to play this game or not.

I actually managed to see the image but when I clicked continue it told me my username and email were already used (registered but didn't get into closed beta) - now image has disappeared again!!

I actually got to log into my existing account earlier and there was a enter product key option above where it usually says logout, i clicked it and got to product key page but had no contuine button, then the login went down again so it seems they r working on it

it also seems from that we can use existing accounts, but i dont know for sure

Hello my first post here, just got up as i knew there was no way they'd have the account pages working when they said they would lol.But just thought id share this with you guys dunno if its been said else where as this thread grows by 3 pages a second lol, but i just logged into the account i created a few months ago, i wasnt on closed beta but when i logged in i got a key registering page pop up i put the key in the required field and of coarse got about 20 different errors and just gave up .

Ps. Had they set up the accounts page on say last tuesday no one would have cared if it took a few days to sort out, but seriously trying to do this on the open beta start day is seriously stupid.

The thing is that what you see right now, is what you get when the game launches. They wont re-write anything major or replace the hardware. Sure, screwing up the launch day pisses off customers but in the end, its not GOA's game, they just run it and get paid as long as its up roughly at the same time as the US version.

Same with the actual game. If theres some design flaws in the game, they carry over to the launch. Open Beta is mainly about polishing stuff, not fixing anything major.

Just relax, check back after several hours and if its not up by then it will be during the week.

Well EA would react if things got bad enought, but most likely not in the way we would like. If sales go down in EU because of poor support from GOA, EA will most likely pull the plug (that is protect their interests and relocate funds and or equipment) instead of trying to fix it.

More than likely the back-end fell over due to load....hard to fix smoke coming out of your hardware everytime you switch it on

I've had enough of this catastrophe.

The downloader sucks because you can't throttle your outbound at all, and it doesn't even keep a few k of bandwidth to allow normal internet usage.

The registration process sucks because they've made it as clear as a bath full of dinosaur poo which button you should click.

It sucks because of the stupid image verification which just isn't working. The simple solution is to temporarily disable it. It won't do any harm, it isn't like anyone can do anything worthwhile without a Beta key anyway.

As the AVGN would say "What were they thinking? What a piece of s***"
