if the sun is to be believed and their photo was not shopped, it shows mr qatada is allowed to walk freely down the street and go shopping. all with a smug look on his face, knowing the british government and the judges are a pile of shite.

according to some officials hes 2nd in command after osama bin laden and one of the most dangerous people in the world currently. but he could not be deported to jordan, because sadly it would go against his human rights. hes allowed to live in luxury in england, and enjoy personal protection which anyone paying taxes will be funding. he has also claimed incapacity benefits from OUR benefits system

The case is being taken to the House of Lords but in the mean time Qatada's family is understood to be claiming around £47,000 a year in benefits - £500 a week in child benefits for the four of his five children under 18, £210 for income support, £150 for incapacity benefit, £45 in council tax benefit – along with a council home worth around £800,000.

Qatada has been described by the Special Immigration Appeals Commission, as a "truly dangerous individual" who was "heavily involved, indeed at the centre of terrorist activities associated with al-Qa'eda."

discuss your feelings in relation to this.

Well, the man needs to sh*t like the rest of us.

should he be getting paid to shit by a country that he helped others to kill civilians which are a part of it?

he is being paid benefits by the families of people who died in terrorist attacks, on the country that he is currently being paid to live in!

That was just the only thing i could comment on really.

Don't know the man, don't know what he's done, seems a bit odd that britain is harboring terrorists(basically :D), but, it doesn't suprise me either.

I believe your "culture" will deal with him shortly though.

not allegedly, he is a terrorist.

and you would be forgiven for being confused etc about why the british government pays him money to live here.

I say ship him back off to Jordan, who cares if he's tortured a little bit. He definitely deserves it!

its against his human rights, even though its a european principle. and probably intended to be for europeans and european states.

Yeah but he doesn't care about our human rights when he was plotting terrorist actions.

I Kno 2 wrongs dont make a right and all but still, the way we treat terrorists is disgusting.

Well, from what i read he's punished worse then he would in Jordan(death probably).

2 hours of freedom, electronic tag, no mosque. Isn't he a preacher? Or did i misunderstand that from the article? Seems efficient way of punishing a holy man.

I'm not confused why Britain pays him, ofcourse they do, just as they pay anyone.

We let our own rapists, murderers and wrong-doers out of prison, why is this man different?

Or are you saying that it's just that you have to pay for it via taxes?

Then send him to Alabama.

or just bring back hanging, but with a twist - tie the noose around his scrotum, and spin baby spin !

but they shouldnt just pay anyone, thats part of the point. benefits should benefit people who deserve them. especially not someone who comes from another country, metaphorically fucks your arse and then asks you to pay him for the pleasure.

Well like i said, i don't think he'll be around too long as society usually takes matters into own hands. I'm betting there's atleast one or two individuals who will act with some vigilante justice.

So if it bothers someone, i wouldn't bother my mind with it too much.

I understand the point and to some degree, i agree that it's weird.

Yeah, he will have some members the security forces keeping an eye on him at all times. Although one would hope that they might all accidently go on a coffee break at the same time, to allow some vigilantism :p

going off-topic its like that bloke who killed the two french guys. When he goes to prison he'll most likely be on suicide watch, but the guards will wander off for about 30mins to let him get on with it. I kno its not the right thing to do, but unfortunately things like this happen.

It is sadly the price a civilized country has to pay. You don't send people to barbaric country to let them be tortured.

His thinning hair, after nearly six years in jail, was covered by a white Islamic prayer cap, but round his right ankle, covered by a white sock, was the electronic tag which ensures he returns home.

Qatada, 47, is allowed out of his house for two hours a day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon- under the strict terms of his bail.

He is also banned from attending a mosque or providing religious instruction to anyone other than his wife and children, and may not publish any statement without prior approval.

Seems like he is on house arrest after 6 yrs in jail

You get people like him - who is a known threat to national security - taking thousands of pounds of tax-payers money when there are people out there who are good law abiding citizens struggling to make ends meet because the government have axed their benefits. Meanwhie this bastard gets a house and god knows how much benefit payments.

The thing is though, welfare benefits have no "ego or moral values", so it's same for all or nothing for all.

On topic; they are probably keeping tabs on him waiting for him to do something but the papers are just going to drag out the process by following his every move

well, he's probably the best lead they have to capturing osama. and as long as theres even the slighest chance that he will give him up they can't afford not to as i'm quite sure theres a fair few in England that would want him dead.

they are basically choosing the lesser of 2 evils here.

tho i'm fairly certain that he wont but as always theres still the chance. and at the moment thats the best they got.

I would say throw him to the lions, but even we dont fucking want him.

Like I've said many times before, when someone shows that they have no respect for the human rights of others, we should stop respecting thiers.

This man plotted and helped to kill British people, 6 years and house arrest ? Its a disgrace.

He should atleast be forced to buy supermarkets "own" brands, instead of being allowed bloody charmin' ultra!!!
