The problem with the tony martin case is that he shot the guy in the back when he was running away...........

I couldnt careless where he shot him to be honest. The scum bags broke into his house repeatedly, dont know if it was those two in particular or not and dont care to be quite frank. It was a clear case of two wankers picking on someone they thought was vunerable and finding out that he wasnt quite as soft as they hoped. They deserved everything they got. I bet that noone wants to break into his house anymore as all the thieving gypo's know not fuck with his house now.

The bit that really made me realise that there is something really wrong with the system was when Hop-A-Long Cassidy (Brendan Fearon the survivor) went to court to get compensation for getting shot, a fucking disgrace.

Even in America where there laws are much clearer on defending your property, Tony Martin would have been prosecuted. He went beyond the defending your property because they were leaving.

I agree with you about them being scum bags and everything else. Being able to shoot someone in the back when they are exiting your property is not the way forward.

Just to clarify, if a mans wife (as an example) is chronically ill, in severe pain every day and pleading with him to end her life and he in turn does so, it's still classed as murder in most countries. Should someone murder your entire family and you seek revenge, it's still murder. If you step into help an old lady being beaten to death by a gang and you accidentally hit someone in the wrong place killing them, it's still murder.

The prolbem with it all is that there is a very large, thick grey line between the truly evil crime of the world and crimes of compassion. Where do you draw the line of absolution?

the first is euthanasia (SP?) illegal still but not murder,

second is murder, retrabution and probly just, but nether the less its murder (if the police could do thier job you wouldnt need to take matters into your own hands)

the last is manslaughter and in the case most wouldnt even get setenced though if they did it would be a 5 year max sentence iirc

murder is having; the intention to cause GBH or death onto another human, and the result being the other human is dead.

I wouldnt hold the US system of justice as some sort of benchmark for justice as the recent case of "whacko" showed that with money you can be untouchable.

Its not like they had a invitation to a party or something at the mans house, they broke into his house and got what was coming to them.

Besides which this is just one example of how the system is failing people, victims and relatives of victims. You read and hear about cases everyday where the peopl either get off super lightly below is another example of people taking the piss out of the system.....
