You can take away a man's life and ruin his family's lifes forever and you get two years in prison for doing so?

Its nearly as bad as those teenagers who wouldnt move out of the road which prevented an ambulance getting to a man who was having a heart attack - he died but perhaps could have been saved. My uncle got stabbed more than 30times in the back, then afterwards got his throat cut with a breadknife - by his best friend.

He got 5years in prison.
He got help to take an education while being in prison and got some treatment. So he could return to society as an asset.

Do I think he got a long enough sentence? No way in hell... but I am glad that he got some help so he could return and be part of society again.

Would I snap his neck if I ever were to meet him face to face? Yes...

Was stood outside the local last night and there was a bloke, bout the same age as me, stood with his lass. A load of pissed up kids, must of been around the ages of 14-16 were walking past and one of em thought it would be funny to call his girlfriend a slag. The bloke walks up to him, all casual like, then BANG. What a punch! this little chav didnt know what day it was. Sat on the floor all covered in blood.

I really think the government should pass a law whereby any chavs mouthing off are fair game and you cannot be prosecuted for it. That said, I have zero repect for our police force anyway. Thats not me trying to be big, hard or clever, I just have plenty of reasons for it.

So, noone else can really comment on the sentence. Because THAT is what justice is about really. If they say "that is enough", then it's enough.

Second:

Two years is a LOT more at that age. You have to take into consideration that.

10 years to an adult, around 30 or so, is nothing more then 10 years.

2 years to a kid, just starting to grow up, is a life sentence.

Also i think it's a mistake putting them in jail at this age(though it's the only choice), they will become nothing more then prison trained criminals.

Agreed, that guy deserves a medal. Shame he will probably get arrested for assaulting a minor. Young kids nowadays(hell, im only 22) get away with murder because the government is scared to punish them. Like ive said, I used to get a smack if I swore, broke a window etc, general behaviour that deserves a cheeky slap around the cheeks or a dig in the arm. Keep your asbos, give the chavs a crack around the head and say next time, its twice as hard for twice as long.

You're talking about technical justice, while i'm talking about justice as a concept of mind.

But the fact remains, we, as nowhere near to this case, have no say(even if we CAN say) in "they haven't been punished enough", when the MOST effected people say they have been.
