OH, WOW!

That's fantastic! I have questions for you:

1. Where did you have it done and who with?
2. How much did it cost?
3. Do you now have 'perfect' vision or do you still need glasses but of reduced strength?
4. How long did it take, including recovery time?
5. Did it hurt like a laser in the eye?

pld I thought about getting it done... contacts piss me off sometimes and errrgh I'm to vain to ever wear specs!

How was it? Did it hurt? Actually it's not the pain that worries me it's the... something going into your eye bit... or the part where they peel the lense back on your eye :puke: Can you stone yourself on Valium or something before hand?

I suppose it's not that bad though....

My aunt had the nice treatment that was out before Laser and that... errm had a fancy name I forget... but err basically they made five cuts in each of her eyes to errm force the eye into shape or something..... :eek6: Mad cow... carried a fair risk of going blind with it too... although she has near perfect sight but hey!

OH yeah gimmie a shout if y'all go blind! ;)

Looks like it's been badly developed. Commercial film developers are shite at dealing with B&W film 'cos they're not used to it. Much better spending £30 on a dark-bag, dev tank & a couple of reels and doing it yourself tbh :/

  1. At the Moorfields Eye Hospital by a gent called Dr Gartry (he is essentially responsible for the treatment being introduced to the UK)
  2. Near enough £3,000
  3. Pretty much perfect, with these being the first couple of days the edges of things are blurry but thats part of the course, with a proper eye test to see exactly how much improved they are to be conducted in a month. About 5 seconds after being in the machine, although shit was blurry & my eyes were itching like bastards, i could already see shit in the operating room that I couldnt see after i'd taken off my specs.
  4. Operation: 30 mins, Recovery: 1 week of eye drops + 1 month of limitations on activities (i.e. no swimming in chlorinated water)
  5. No, but FanBoy told me you could smell a bit of burning during it (cos his dad had it done) and I didn't think i'd be able to, but I could & IT WAS SO NASTY! :E[/list=1]I don't love you btw, I'm just using you for sex.

^Danger: I can honestly say it doesn't hurt, Dr Gartry was poking my eye with shit & I couldn't even feel it.

Chet: I will most definatly see ya on Sunday & if it don't last, I'll live with it cos we all start going blind again at the age of 40+ anyway due to the natural deteriation of the body :)

For the moment anyway its 10mins of PC a day (way back from the screen with "Really Big Fonts(tm)", staying away from the TV & feeling like a six year old (get my sight back & the first day I can see 90% clearly its snowing outside, fairytale shit or what).

As granny said, its a water stain from the developers I used for the B&W film. They're normally OK -- any stains I normally photoshop out, but couldn't be arsed.

Will get around to setting up the darkroom soonish - no space at the mo.
