3gp converter

lo guys sure ive asked this before just cant remember if it was on here and i cant find a past thread of it.

im looking for a decent app to convert mpeg (and other media files) to 3gp to whack on my phone ive had a look over google but the ones ive come across are frankly shit

anyone know a good FREE! (keyword there) program that will do exactly what it says on the tin and not gimme a 5 min limit or riddle my pc with adware

I find Super to be fairly shit tbh.

I've loads of flv files that I'd like to convert to mpeg, and despite claiming to be able to do it, every time I try it fails. No matter what FLV file or output option selected.

If anyone knows of a free program that'll do the above then please post it.

Takes a bit of fiddling in most cases, but I'm probably just used to it. I tend to use it over anything else because I often end up dealing with some really obscure formats or sizes, and can deal with it all in one place as opposed to googling for a million and one other crap programs. Certainly never had any issues with converting to formats for my phones with it.

Have taken a look at Handbrake, it's rather good for conversion to mp4 however that's too limited for what I need. Could well suit chipper down to the ground for his uses though

PS: I've found out that the latest versions of VLC do a cracking job of conversion of FLV files
