I stream just fine in 720p with a i5-2500k and GTX 560 Ti. This is with the highest graphic setting in The Secret World, which hogs GPU resources.
As you said, the main factor is CPU (because of the h264 transcoding going on). With that CPU and capture card (especially this), I don't see you having any issues. Make sure you have decent bandwith out though.

It is excellent and gives you all the basic features that you need.
XSplit is better for larger projects with a lot of input sources
