Another bloody CTU Mole??? I'm sure the writers must have a check list of things that have to be in a series and CTU mole must be right at the top. Hopefully in the very last 24 series they do we will find out Jack has been a mole this whole time, it's the only likely route these writers can take.

Just catching up on the latest EP (watching on Sky One).

Could have been a good episode but the Dana/Jenny "twist" at the end ruined it. Not only is the whole mole thing a hackneyed 24 cliche it makes no sense. She'd have offed Kevin immediately, not buggered about wasting precious screentime and the viewers patience.

What a waste of Starbuck.

Yawn. Honestly, why do they have to make it so poor? Credit the viewers with a bit more intelligence please.

Jack is undoubtedly one of the best action characters on tv, but one of the tools they use to create his image is also an achilles heel for the show. They make the majority of the characters on his side so grossly stupid. They die within 30 seconds of being introduced, they get duped, they don't listen to Jack despite Jack being right everytime and get killed.

They've killed off or criminalised just about every other major character in the series, leaving us with just Jack to care about. I don't think its enough. Plus the repeated use of the same ploys to snag viewers, it gets old. Would be much better as a film or series of films.

The last episode was fucking awesome. I mean, in comparison to the rest of day 8.

I'd agree with that. The Prez kicked arse.

It was a good episode, though the bit with the splinter-cell of soldiers was a bit too meh. While at the same time awesome.

It seems Bauer can pistol whip about 10 soldiers who are all carrying assault rifles.

Again it seems regarding the soldiers they reverted to an old storyline from Season 1 or Season 2. When a secret cell of soldiers went to intercept the nuclear bomb, which was ordered by people within the government.

Also, then 15minutes set for the Dirty Bomb by Teren is a bit short... So within the first quarter of the next episode the bomb will (not) explode, or Teren will become a hero and try to disarm it or something... Even still, theres no much of a window there...

Once it gets disarmed, whats the next storyline/baddy going to be, who else will be magically introduced into the fray

Love her voice -- was quite taken with her in the last series, but in this one she looks a bit more leathery. Not quite my scene...

US 05/04 - TWO EPISODE SPECIAL

HOLY FUCK. TWO EPISODES WHICH WHERE AWESOME.

The ending was brilliant. Sad to see Hassan go though, but it was certainly a nice twist.

AWESOME.

Only thing which got me was the first episode where Dana told Taren Bauer was following him. In literally one minute they were able to plan an escape route and pull up and switch cars.

That was the only minor thing. But im not going to knock them for that minor inconsistancy because it doesn';t deserve to be tarnished for that.

I agree, the second of the two episodes was very moving. They really did a great job of ramping up the tension. I thought the escape route was probably already there, he was already heading for that car park, he just managed to avoid the trap set up for him along the route he'd originally set up to that car park.

US 15 and 16

finally the first major enemy is down, we can move on to another foriegn government as the evil bastards - the Russian(?) diplomat who was asking Taylor about Hassan would be the best bet, and when he is dead, 3 changes of CTU personnel later, another couple of moles, Jack being hunted by CTU etc, we will find out that it's all the work of some power hungry yanks.

Dana needs to die, very annoying character.

Agree. Can see her scamming or escaping, with Cole resorting to killing her.

Really liked the build up to the bomb explosion, built the tension up perfectly. Only the bomb didn't go off, so this tension wasn't satisfied, a tool used to keep it up for the rest of the episodes. Clever, and slightly Hitchcockian, is that.

It was kind of obvious but until the end, I really hoped Jack....

would let Dana live. I liked her a lot more since she turned into a sociopath.

US episode 20, answer to ST^ above:
She was still fucking annoying, especially her "i really love you" bollocks to Cole. Glad she is dead, and quite glad we get a out of control vengence mad Jack for a few episodes. It will be interesting to see if Cole tries to get revenge on Jack though...

The stuff with the president is fairly retarded. She has gone from the opposite of Logan, to being like Logan far to quickly

Highly doubt that Cole will feel any remorse for Dana considering she screwed him 2-3 times already.

Have to wonder what Jack is going to do with that data file now though, he can't necessarily hand it into CTU even with Chloe at the helm, unless he perhaps goes back to that arms dealer who supplied him with all the assault weapons last episode.

I loved the bit where they were rescuing Dana though "You won't take the shot! It's too risky! I'll kill her befo..." Love it.

Slight sidenote still... Even though it was about 7-8 episodes ago, has anyone STILL not found the parole officers body in the ventiliation shaft? Thats going to be one stinky room.

On that last point, remember it's only been a few hours or so...

Oh man oh man! For those that have not seen this yet, Do it, now. One of the best episodes for a long time.

Logan is fucked, Jack is full on bat shit crazy now. The emotion from both Cole and Jack was really good in this episode.

Cole is definately going to turn on Jack given the chance.

Pretty fuckin spectacular episode, specially the bit in the mall. Also its great to see the interogation scenes back in full force.

Didn't the US government start crying over this a couple of seasons ago, because all the soliders in Iraq where getting the wrong idea? Guess they don't care now - Wooo!

I still think that Reid/Media person is going to screw Jack. I seem to remember at the very beginning she recieved a phonecall from an unknown person in regards to Hassan...

Cole is very conflicted, all it's going to take is seeing the video evidence Dana took to drive him over the edge.
