Ep 4 prolly.
Already happened. He was rogue when he broke in to the weapons locker and CTU hunted (off screen) and apprehended him :).

Plus we've got the brass that just won't listen to reason. Someone with bullshit personal problems that we couldn't give two fucks about and fills up time. A mini plot that's resolved early that leads to a bigger one. Chloe being obnoxious and annoying. Yup, it's 24 alright :).

Such a horrible predictable cliché regarding Renee, Jack corrupted and broke her on noes!!111

Still, that's no change from anything else in it. Also really disliking the Jenni storyline, it'll probably tie in more with the day's events in a few hours time but... gtf.

As long as Jack kicks her back door in before the end of hour 24 it is all golden! :D

Wazz they do state Hassan is the leader of a middle eastern state, so that rules out Pakistan.

Got to say it's a very strong cast, lots of fairly well known actors popping up all over the place.

Far less silly than the last season so far, the plot and the pacing seems far more believable.

They said it's the IRK, which some searching tells me is the Islamic Republic of Kamistan. A fictional state I guess.

Okay I am having really trouble with the whole Dana sub-plot. PLease tell me it is not just me that thinks it is completely ridiculous to be believe a former red-neck criminal has managed to con their way into CTU?

I don't care so long as she continues to wear that figure-hugging dress.

Agree about the Dana thing,
of all the CTU subplots over the years this one is surely
a) the worst
b) the most unlikely
c) the most obvious for coworkers to spot - for highly intelligent (which I presume is a prerequisite for working in an elite government agency) people to just kind of gossip when she mysteriously disappears to answer her phone and then carry on as if nothing has happened is just totally unbelievable. Did nobody think of following her to the mystery room where she can hack into evidence warehouse security systems??

Dana/Jenny/whatever just tell your chap already you stupid bitch. Her past doesn't even sound like that big a deal, I mean in terms of 24 storylines a single murder is pretty minor.

But hey, if Bauer's idiot daughter can all-of-a-sudden swing a job in CTU (and then inexplicably go back to being stupid again afterwards) I guess anything can happen. She even learned all the big words.

Note - I haven't watched e08 yet but really am not overly impressed with day 8 so far. It's ok, in a 24ish kinda way.

caLLous, honestly, episode 8 will jsut make your piss boil. They are just going through the motions till the movies. It started out ok, but it's just going from one random set of circumstances to the next.

Also the instant switch of President Hassan from world leader trying to bring peace, to despot dictator with a mean streak of paranoia is just insulting.

US Spoiler > 22/02

This was probably my least favorite episode upto now. The Dana storyline is so annoying to hell. At least now with the guys dead this should be the end of it, but the fact that it has been rolling on for 8-9 episodes only for it to come to an abrupt end is just retarded.

The only thing i can think of is maybe the ex-con lover survived, and then she jumps the fiancee for him. But how this all ties into the nuclear bomb i don't know/ Just stupid.

The only interesting bit out of everything was the screwjob attempt on Renee, Jack's awesomeness shone through to the security guard who was going to shoot him - "Son you better put that down... Or you're gonna get hurt". Awesome :worthy:

The fact though that the episode ended on the Dana storyline just pissed me off. It should have been directed towards the bomb, so it just fell flat on its face. Hard.

I've always defended 24 in the past. No matter how ridiculous the plots and subplots have been, I've always enjoyed watching it. But Day 8? Fuck Day 8. It's fucking shit. :|

Someone says that about every series, when in fact they're all as silly as each other. It's not getting any sillier.

US-15th March episode

Finally! A good episode after the dismal last 2-3 weeks! EMP mo'fucker!

I suppose this means Dana gets off scot free now though. Kayla had a mobile phone, why didn't CTU just phone her and stay stop and get out of the car...

Good episode though definately.

I'm watching it on Sky and getting very, very bored of the Dana sub-plot. There's been some good stuff in it but its all getting very samey now. Shame really. Plus you know Jack's getting old when even the terrorists look young to him.

The dana sub plot goes from worse to worse and is ruining the suspension of disbelief for the whole show.

I agree with Gray, they were in constant phone communication with her, until it become convenient not to be.

Another good episode. But again it just had certain flaws in it. The obvious one being the twist ending. URRRGHHHHHHH

First about the CTU agents, specifically the ones who were with Bauer and Cole. They're here with the most experienced CTU veteran around, yet they don't listen to him when he says not to do something.

Even moreso, it happened TWICE in just a couple of minutes! First we had the impatience of the one running off with the shielding when Jack said not to panic, then, when Jack told the other one not to get him the other one once again disregarded what he was saying.

That was a bit meh.

And obviously the big one - The Mole.

I was uncertain if they was going to have a mole in CTU considering the EMP going off last week. It wasnt necessary. Especially with the mole being Dana ffs. Shes been involved in so much story at the moment its ridiculous. Bear in mind this has only been 13 hours upto now, but in this half a day we've found out:

Dana was a convicted criminal
She dated a convicted criminal
She got a new identity
Without any form of background checks she got a job in CTU
She dates the main CTU agent with a wedding date planned
Ex-con boyfriend finds out where/who she is
Ex-con blackmails her into doing a dirty job
She kills/hides body of ex-con boyfriend
Parole officer of ex-con boyfriend wants to know where he is
She then goes off to admit what she did, only to have an EMP destroy all evidence [Until awesome Chloe fixes it]
She kills parole officer and hides his body
She is confimed as being the mole

So, somewhere in all that she manages to somehow get in with a terrorist organisation. Its just too much. Especially for someone who doesn't seem to be a likable character to watch.

I remember in Season 2 they had an American woman who was dating an Arab i think it was, and it was found out she was brainwashed by the terrrorist groups to do all this stuff - Its happening again with Dana.

Other than that, Chloe showing how awesome she is was great. But i really don't understand how everytime someone comes in from Division they ALWAYS act like dicks even to the experienced CTU personel.

Well its probably the case that she was helped into her new job by the baddies. They hooked her up with new IDs and shit to bypass the background checks. So she's either a blackmail victim (meaning she can un-turn later in the day to everyone's amazement and surpise) or she's a fanatic in which case she'll die at Jack's gunpoint. Mark my words :p

The whole Dana crap is pissing me off tbh. Bleh!

Anyway... not an awful ep, but definitely not one of the best.
