A lot of your best players from last year just look a bit off. Probably a combination of injuries, covid etc. Leeds should have enough to stay up, there are 3 worse teams than them in the league for sure, but another key injury and that'll be hard work.

I agree - we ought to survive, but it's a bit borderline to be honest...

Ranieri gone from Watford. I thought Everton were bad (Oh they are...) But Watford do take the proverbial.

Norwich are two for two this month on ending manager reigns

They've won 4 games this season and a manager has been sacked straight after 3 of them... One of them was their own manager though :ROFLMAO:

Rumours suggest Steve Bruce is back in business

I like Leeds after hating them for their past, played some great football last season but I think they have just been found out this season and with little worthwhile additions to the squad are suffering for it. I think they will just about stay up. Burnley, watford and hopefully Newcastle to go down. Burnley have a huge amount of games to catch up on and a small squad, its going to hurt, watford are hopeless and Newcastle have scumbag owners.

There's a persistent rumour that Newcastle's owners are quite comfortable with relegation because it will make it much easier to reboot the whole team (bit like when City were first taken over).

Hodgson's looking likely for Watford. He doesn't strike me as being the rapid response kind of manager they need in their situation.

Seems like a mental decision to me. A manager whos USP was keeping Palace up every year when they had much better players than Watford.

You'd think they'd be in for an "in emergency break glass" manager like Big Sam but he was supposedly flirting with Everton so maybe he thinks Watford are beneath him (or maybe his failure to keep West Brom up took the shine off of his "never relegated" record). They have a few decent players - Joao Pedro and Emmanuel Dennis look like real talents and they're *really* missing Ismaila Sarr... they've played 8 matches since his injury and lost 7 of them.

Well the manager search seems to be becoming quite a bit of a pantomime (Was it ever not though). It seems to be down to two now, Lamps and Vitor.

Vitor being... Highly unusual in doing a lengthy interview on Sky Sports bigging up his chances, whether as a way to show his credentials to the British public but it seems to have massively backfired.

The "fans" are being slightly pathetic though, resorting to vandelism, constant protests and giving their total backing to Lampard. If seems like Vitor might be the Boards priority, but hiring him won't reduce the toxicity. He has the experience though.

Or they back Lampard, and get the fans onside and if it doesn't work then the Board can say he wasn't our preferred choice, back off in the future. We're unlikely to be bringing in anyone else now transfer wise.

I think it would be a good fit with Lampard, but he will need some money to spend, and to be allowed to ship one or two players out.

Just one or two?? Ooosh.

I don't know how we're going to be looking with FFP now, but i guess come end of the season a lot of players will be out of contract.

Delph once again on the medical table, what an absolute farce. He's probably not forgiven the Gylfi situation, speaking of him I guess he'll be out of contract too.

His bail has been extended for another 2-3 months. No idea how or why his saga is dragging on. There's diddly squat on the up to date situation. All very strange

I completely forgot one of your players was arrested for kiddy fiddling. Just realised there has been literally no mention of him all season, didn't put two and two together!

Allegedly*
Seems he wasn't named in the season squad either after doing a brief check yesterday, so he had been properly cast aside

Looks like Lamps has been all but confirmed on some sources.

Should be official tomorrow. 2-3 days for any players he wants to come in, could be too little time.

Rooney had come out to say he refused an interview request, that's entirely respectful considering he wants to see what happens with Derby.

I'm not sure if that will be the case. All he has to do is keep them up at this point, a push for around 10th would be a bonus.

Mason Greenwood's girlfriend's Instagram - loads of pictures of bruising (going back to 2020) and an audio recording of him attempting to rape her. I remember some stories that were suppoed to be about him from before but thought it ended up being about Mendy.

This Greenwood stuff is absolutely grim. Poor woman. If this was the NFL he would be out the door already. CBA with the "we are investigating" statement from United. What's to investigate?

There was noise about him being in trouble last year - there were stories about a Premier League player being arrested in the Manchester area and his name came up a lot in connection with it, then the Mendy story blew up but maybe there was something to it with Greenwood after all. Anyway, if those stories last year were really about him, that means United knew about it which is even worse.

Suspended sentence incoming?

Or is he not big enough for that?

Yeah, i would assume this is only from a legal pov though. Mendy is still a city player for example.

Don't see how greenwoods career is not just finished now though. United will have some serious explaining to do if this was known about.

In other news, van der beek going to Everton. Totally wasted signing for us at United. Hope he gets to actually play football now, he's great.
