Yeah I will no longer be decieved by movie trailers, every film I have been looking forward to due to the trailers looking awesome has been a let down, the one i went into with pretty low expectations (the hangover) blew my mind.

I'll go see it, but I wont be excited about it.

This guys imagination seems a little stunted. Perhaps one day he might make a film that doesn't involve the world ending.

You know i was thinking the same thing haha :p

I'll probably end up seeing this at the cinema, but its not a 'must see' film.

Well don't get me wrong, I enjoyed both Indy Day and Day After Yesterday, and I'm sure he has done other films, but nothing gets the same sort of treatment, special effects (ooh look, more crumbling buildings and lots of water!) as his The End is Nigh filmage :/

Have you seen 'Knowing'? Nick Cage film, 2012 reminds me a lot of that...

As a "world ends movie", i think it'll be good enough.

Hopefully there's no plot or love interest in it.

A film MADE got blu ray and widescreen plasmas!

It will be worth buying even just for showing off your kit to your mate who still uses DVD with a CRT TV :D

Seen it. Good explosions, good CGI. Shit plot, bollocks science, obligatory 'dog escapes horrible death' scene, bad guys die, lots of back-slapping.

Usual nonsense. Turn off brain.

Excellent! *runs off to buy ticket*

It's been a while that there's been a good brain off movie.

Well...G.I. Joe was brain off'ish.

seems like tons of the special effects are there just because they can do it, not because they are needed in any way :(

I enjoyed it, it did look like a case of them trying to fit a story and acting around the sepcial effects, but then I didnt really expect it to be anything else so I wasn't dissapointed.

I would love to know what cell network they are on though, they never seemed to lose their signal... I cant even hold a signal in Sainsburys.

Dear god that was a bad movie, I was actually going to post a warning about that after watching it.

I didn't know he'd directed The Patriot. Despite the very obvious anti-British sentiments (not English you silly scriptwriter), I thought that film looked beautiful, and I quite enjoyed it.

Watched it. And enjoyed it quite a lot. Don't watch it and be serious, I'm pretty sure its meant to be a comedy :) And as a comedy it works quite well :D

Roughly 3 hours of a steaming hot Richard the 3rd. The big problem is you dont give two shits about the main characters. The film is so long you want them to hurry up and die lol

Just come back. Despite the fact that I thought I'd lost my cat was more traumatising, I have to say I rather enjoyed it.

Yes, it's fucking dumb. And pretty awful. But damn it, he does lots of nasty death and ridiculous action very well :)

Don't leave brain at door. Leave at home, in a box.

Same here.... you don't actually care for any of the characters.
But tons of very very nice fx and ridiculous action. The stuff they survive time and time again makes you laugh cause it's so silly :D
Turn off your brain and enjoy it....

How can you be wowed too much by special effects in a film that's all about wow-ing you with special effects?!!
