Anybody got a clue how big the variance would be if i had 48 effective slash and 68 effective 2-h?? that instead of having 50 effective slash!

Or even lower effective slash

Can't give you hard figures, but personally I'd make sure it's at 51, even if it meant dropping 2H by a few points. A long time back there were some tests done which said taking 2H over 65 effective gives diminishing returns - so I reckon 65 2H + 51 slash would be much better than 68 and 48. As I say though, can't give you any hard figures ;)

probably about 2% less base damage compared to 1% 2h bonus and 1% style damage...

warning: these numbers may have been produced from somewhere the sun don't shine.

hmmm so wonder what i shall do then....

my spec was gonna be sumth like

50 2-h
42 chant
21 parry
14 shield
30 slash
with atm +17 in 2-h and slash

then i guess
50 2-h
42 chant
20 parry
33 slash
7 shield is better

Well you could drop Chants to 30 something for the blue End (ought to be enough with free Tireless), lose Shield entirely (2H Paladins haven't enough spec points for a massively hybrid spec) and increase your Slash to 39 with remaining points in parry. That'll give you max damage and some defence.

Right, I've just had a whirl on the Character Builder for you. Assuming you did not auto-train, then you can have:

50 2H
39 Slash (effective 50 using Wyrd rules)
32 Chants (yellow End Regen - more then sufficent given free Tireless)
27 Parry (effective 38 with SC and obviously more with RR, granting a decent defence)

HTH :)

Yellow end is good enough for all the US 2H Paladins, so it can't be that bad! :)

They are fighting yanks tho!

since he's got +17 to slash, going above 34 slash is a complete waste of spec points.
