MRSA | C.diff superbug | 'Eat poo' cure for hospital bug hell | The Sun |HomePage|News

The Sun said:
AN elderly woman who beat the C.diff superbug after agreeing to be fed someone else’s faeces declared yesterday: “I recommend the treatment.”

Ethel McEwen, 83, made a full recovery thanks to the natural “good bacteria” she ingested.

Her daughter Winnifred’s faeces were liquidised — then fed down a tube through the pensioner’s nose into her gut.

Ethel, of Guardbridge, Fife, underwent the drastic therapy in Glasgow after antibiotics failed to cure her.

She said: “People turn up their noses and think, ‘Oh my God’.

“But really it’s nothing. It isn’t horrible at all and there are certainly worse things.”

Ethel was a patient of Dr Alasdair McConnachie — Britain’s only faecal transplant therapist.

He admitted: “It is certainly a treatment of last resort for people who have tried all the other options.”

Ah, down at the caffeteria, i wonder if it's lasagna or meatballs today. what's this...poo?!

That's right sir, poo.

Poo for lunch?!

Why not?

It's poo!

It's good for you sir.

It's good for me?! It's POO!

Well you see, it's GOOD poo. With healthy bacteria.

HEALTHY BACTERIA?!

Yes sir, it's the finest bacteria in all of england.

Look. I'm not eating poo!

Very well sir, what will you have then?

You got anything without poo?

We have the salad.

And there's no poo in it?

Not at all sir.

You sure?

Quite certain sir. Our salad has been poo free since ninetythree.

Not something you'd want to advertise surely...

Oh but it is, sales went up 200%.

Fine fine...i'll have the salad.

Diarrhea on the side sir?

So i was bored :D
