2 accounts at once

Anyone know how to run 2 accounts at once using the new alt+tab system? I've tried opening up a second instance of the game but it says I can't cause I've already got one up Anyone know how?

Works fine here, in Windowed mode at least.
Not sure if full screen works well but I wouldn't recommend it anyway.

Try opening ur User.dat in notepad and add the following line

windowed=1

save then try running.

i think u need 2 copies of si installed to run it twice

It worked the first time for me, I didn't change anything. But guildies were having a problem doing the same. Then one of my accounts went LD and I coudlnt' get in again with 2 accounts.

Was really funny tho, the characters were moving on their own, like they were linked or something. I'd sat my tailor on the roof in Diogel and logged my slave to go buy hat patterns in Cots. When I alt tabbed back to my tailor she'd run off teh roof and was facing the wall by the forge!

Windowed mode is weird. The bottom of the screen was chopped off. Is there any way to resize does anyone know?

or just go in to stettings -> performance-> and click on full screen mode, it will change to windowed, restart the client et voila



btw i had a nasty crash running 2 acounts at once, high pitched noise came out of my speakers and full reset of my pc

I take it you have got both account SI enabled, Might be stating the obvious but u can only run 2 through the SI clients.

yeah both SI clients , diff directory, diff account, seemed like a sound problem to me, gonne test some more this weekend, but thats not so bad, good thing is now i can play eve and daoc at the same time, while playing gta-vc on my ps2

Different directory? I ran them out of the same.

Altho a completely different issue is, I can't run classic DAoC any more. When I double click the icon from the original Camelot folder nothing happens, it just doesn't launch :/

yeah but its a PITA you cant (could be working now) move the window.

i just want to get a second screen up and use one for daoc one for work/irc/general mayhem

We've had some problems getting two sessions up and running, no idea why...

Haven't tried it on my PC tho, my husband's PC sometimes does have fits if you try anything remotely strange...

Agreed, daocwin n daox worked much more better.

Huh? Using DAoX does not give you any less lag?

aye, got both accounts with SI enabled Managed to get both up for a second but then both crashed out : / It isn't a bad computer either. 512mb ram etc which is minimum. Gonna keep on trying now but things don't look too hopeful : /

mythic made it this way to force all daox buffbot users to buy SI for the bots

i used to get a full computer resetat random times running 2 accs since the last patch, think is a vid driver problem when it overwrites memory

So you mean I can't play my other account ever again unless I buy SI for it? That sucks, just a bit..

yep same here - used to be able to run 2 instances easily before 1.60 but no more, and i have 1gig of ram. Don't think the latest Nvidia Detonator drivers like it with XP, may try with the previous 40.1 or whatever det's heard that sorts it.... until then have to ban the gf from meh 2nd pc

Wouldnt suggest different resolutions, can be a strain on your system.

So.. any other peoples out there got any suggestions. I can get two accounts up at once but others in my guild can't.

Does it depend on OS? Ram? Pure luck?

Btw, answered my own question on this.. put the CD in and it loaded.. Hmmm..
