I noticed how hard Mallus was, so I wanted to roll an assassin too. My rl-friends went Mid, so did I.

2. Do you regret it? And if you do, what stealth-class would you rather play these days?

Manytimes, but today I am happy I still play my SB^^

The swing-rate on left hand + poisons(goes for all assassins ofc).

Wanted to try all hib classes but ran out of char slots on pryd, so I moved excal and just fell in love with ns.

2. Do you regret it? And if you do, what stealth-class would you rather play these days?

Nawh, playing a stealther is a totally different world from other types of rvr in daoc. Can be extremely fun, can be extremely frustrating. I'd like to try a sb tho, but not sure I can be bothered starting a stealther all over again.

3. What is the best with your class?

Being able to play a silent observer and pick my own fights, being able to take my time to prepare for a hard kill. Having to be super careful not to die, cause nobody is going to make up for my mistakes.

4. What is the worst with your class?

Being an easy target for griefers.

5. Which/What enemy stealth class do YOU find hardest?

Hugmeh, a class of its own!

6. Which enemy stealth class do you prefer to bump into?^^

See above. Every time we have a fight sparks fly all over the zone, nothing is as fastpaced as those fights. And because the fights are so fast, a lot more is left to timing then luck.

7. What RA do you like the most?

First aid 2, wish I didn't need purge3.

8. What RA do you dislike the most(in the hands of your stealthed enemys)?

Um.. none, i suppose nearly everyone will say remedy but personally ive been gagging for the moment remedy whine would become obsolete.

9. What ml-ability is your absolute favorite?

Decoys, popping them on dd traps or right on top of someone in a fg that is fighting makes me laugh irl.

10. Which ml-ability do you dislike the most(in the hands of your stealthed enemys)?

Close call between warguard and lookout.

11. What artifact are/is lying under your pillow at nigth?

Malice ofc!

The non-fotm spec. Being called crazy going cd/blade back in the good old days, and now seeing many people respec to it to try it out puts a smile on my face.

Vinters idea of slash/thrust splitspec ns (or ranger, dont remember) made me think he was crazy

15. How long do you think you will keep on playing your stealther?

Until people can't value good fights anymore.

Long time, I enjoy my minstrel a lot now that he's fully kitted.

1. Scout was my first class. I definately wanted to play an Archer, and Albion seemed really interesting for me, all that olde folk tale and what not.

2. I never regretted it. I envied Minstrels, from time to time, for them being picked up for RvR and PvE groups, but I wouldn't have wanted to play one. Being an archer suited me perfectly, and I rose to the challenges of my class, worked around them and learned how to turn them into strenghts.

3. Ranged damage! Kill the fuckers before they know what's going on.

4. It has always been melee damage, but certainly not a handicap that cannot be overcome.

5. Nightshades were utter bastards for me. Crush resistant armour. Thrust weaponry. Even spells to interrupt my firing long before they are in melee distance.

6. Hunter. 'Bumping into' an assasin is a failing of an archer. Hunters were at a horrible disadvantage to a Slash scout. Slash weak armour and slow 2H weapons against your handy shield meant that they could usually be defeated in melee, even if they got their interrupting pet up.

7. Old True Sight was brilliant for when mile gates were camped and for turning the tides on assasins. For a long time, it was the only and only advantage any archer had against assasins.

8. Before they nerfed dodger. That nearly wiped out all archers on the servers. There must have been three serious Scouts still playing only their Scouts by that point. And no wonder. You could empty six or more arrows at an assasin and be surprised if one hit.

9. Zephyr, which I should think must have been nerfed by now. This made one on one fights criminally easy for Scouts, if you knew your stuff.

10. Equally, zephyr. But of course, you could learn tricks to avoid it.

11. Shade cloak, whatever it was called. Man, before they nerfed the transform function, was hardly worth bothering stealthing.

12. Malice's Axe could be pretty brutal in the hands of a Shadowblade.

13. Cant remember..... total of 50 stealth... 42 shield... high bow, high slash.

14. Dragonfang Scouts. Ugh. Before the nerf there was a little fad of them, what a waste of respec stones. They were useless creatures.

15. Haven't been active for a year but may reactivate for a month v. soon. Hope I'm not too confused by any changes.

Tearing through visuals, much more fun than fighting other stealthers and much more challenging. Lots of varied opponenets using different specs + abilities. the only thing keeping me going in this game atm.

No access to celt race which is completley fooking outrageous imo..

really depends on weapon choice and resist buff status off opponent. If it they use one of my weak resists, and they are resist buffed im toast. finding most assasins seem to be packing battler malice, finding good hunters more of a problem these days. not too overly concerned about mincers because i dont think theres any wtf pwn ones active on server. potentially though mincer is the toughest opponent

High RR enemy assassin because even if i get pwned thats the fights which i enjoy the most.

No I don't regret it, I had mucho fun with it even unbuffed in df, or nowadays. Beside I would try a ranger.

I can fight only if I want (excluding other stealthers), I can watch others fights, even grp vs grp fights without being attacked, I can go afk when I want Can watch tv! and I dont rely on anyone else.

Can't instakill ? Nah beside this now I don't complain, I'm quite satisfied with my char.

Hm Wings used malice offhand as thrust infil, but much to my surprise it worked quite well ^^

I'm playing it now very rarely, and IRL requires even more and more time so I don't think I will play it much at all. Once a week or so maybe. If I renew my acc

Started on Healer (illu) and basically the waiting for groups and then the disbanding of groups after 2 failed runs was /cry. While waiting for a group in Malmohus to get my healer to 50, illusb was born and preferred in the end :>

No regrets. Saying that, a NS/Infil OR Melee Ranger look like fun to play.
