1.81 RVR Necromancer Template

I have pretty much everything I want in this template; a shape change, almost capped ToA bonuses, two forms of mana regen, some resist peirce, capped Dex and Int and capped resists. Oh, and it only uses 99% cloth! :clap:

Your thoughts please?

P.S. This is just the fighting suit, there is a seperate summon suit that caps all summoning stats.

Seriously.. i'm not hijacking topic orsomething.. But Sorc's GoV doesn't give +spell damage but melee damage.. So, maybe for necro's too..

looks good - especially with only using 99% qual stuff - as a suggestion i would look at putting more servant and sight skills in as the ones u use are a few levels below 50 - you should also look at getting MOF2 too

Because they dont? sugges you got to the CoC, and serch for a necromancer called Jaxxal, or gibrock for that matter..

Only weakness is low power pool, but the tarts /use2 will make things easier, other than that its a nice template.

I have Enriys Charm which has permenant power regen, and with Tarts I should be fine :)

Because I am a stubborn so and so and I love playing my Necro in RVR despite the chain ganks and the stun nuke nukes :)

Besides, I don't think RR5 is too shabby ;)

GoV on necro gets both Spell range/magic dmg and Melee dmg/style dmg stats but the melee bits are just being useless dont do anything unless you go staff stuff down.

I need no +skill mate. I am using spec spells, not base so +skill is irrelevant :)

I do have MoF II though :)

Having grouped with Jaxxal alot, I can safely say that the Necro RR5 is one of the worst out there.

Reduces pet cast to 3 seconds, if you move during those 3 seconds you cancel the buff and have to recast with the full 20 second spell :( Oh, and also, if you don't have time to cast the full 20 seconds, you're probably dead anyway :p

Back on topic, the template is actually very good, although I would recommend at least attempting to cap your +Deathsight (or DServant, depending on your spec). But it isn't exactly a huge problem :)

Good luck and enjoy one of the more gimped (and more interesting) classes in the game ;)

i would reccomend alot more con since it travels to pet on summon...15 is to little...u wont have much hp and absorb

Necro is lame in RvR. Some, like Jaxxal, actually put in the time and effort to make a few RPs but a necro has no place in an Alb RvR-grp and solo it has to count on someone being foolish enough to throw themselves at it.

The fact that vs Melee Necro will win 99.9% of the time is hardly special as Melee expect to get wtfpwned anyway :p .

Roll a Cleric - Alb always needs more Clerics in RvR!

Maybe (shock! horror! he likes playing his Necromancer in RVR? Maybe he doesn't like conforming to stereotypes, and decided to master something unique and un-heard of. Perhaps gaining RPs on necro is 10 times more satisfying than on a Cabalist, for example.

AF debuff certainly does have a place in Alb RVR groups...just perhaps not prime-time gank groups which require all the utility Alb can get.

He's not foolish, he's an innovator.

Didn't say he shouldn't play the Necro was just contributing to the debate about if a Necro was worth playing in RvR. I have a lot of respect for Jaxxal, who is the only Necro I know who RvRs regularly.

I know about playing a class which doesn't conform and is hard to gain RPs with, I had an Armsman as my first character, which IMO also has no place in an Alb RvR group. Every RP with that character was incredibly statisfying but I made the equivalent RPs in less than a third of the time as a Cabalist and that was even more satisfying :) .

Alb utility is low enough already without putting a Necro in a group IMO but I have been grouped with a guildie's Necro before now.

I didn't call him foolish, but he isn't an innovator either.
