This sounds like something they came up with while being blind drunk.

And really... There isnt that much time on the battlefield anyway, rooting pets, diseasing & interrupting and at same time keeping sight who to focus, well at least shammys will have lots to do :D

edit, oh yeah. Why is mid getting it at 41 aug since shamans can be viable and spec that? while other realms have to have a buffbot with them?

Hunters biggest issue is the low defense, no "Call of the Hounds" can change that fact. Its a bit deppressing to duel hunters; Every swing hits home. Its like hitting a guy in wheelchair. And a class shouldnt have to wait to rr 7+ to become viable(ap 2-3) once every 15 minute.

Just take a look at last week rp's;

5 Infiltrator 35,605,863 11,904
7 Minstrel 32,544,615 10,905
12 Scout 24,685,543 9,744

27 Hunter 14,835,065 8,688

Give them Evade 4 "och saken är biff" as we say here in cold Sweden.

i dont know about hunter specs but im guessing takin beascraft to 30spec will rather screw up the rest of the spec? all the pet is is a caster bubble popper/interrupter atm so the level is irrelivant.

Try buffbot/shearbot/focus powershieldbot. This is a good change for the realms who had problems deciding whether or not to carry a AE-shearer into rvr(Hib/alb). This pretty much settled that discussion.

Now, the "downside" for midgard about all this is that more shears = more problems rebuffing with limited ammounts of buffs. Meaning this will ultimately force Midgard to run with 2 shamans, one of them being a shear/buffbot and another to keep up the normal duties of a shaman(interrupting is gonna be more important than ever seeing how casters are nasty with the increased castingtimes).

I predict the future of Mid: fotm gankgroup-> Pachealer, Mendhealer, Shear/Buff"bot", RvR-shammy(42-43 aug), War, Zerker(Banelord), Savage/SM, Savage/SM.

Maybe substitute the warrior for a 3rd healer. As I said, these are just guesses :)

T_T. Forums wouldn't let me edit as I spent more than 5 minutes retyping. Well here goes the addition anyhow:

Upsides? Well for one, if these shields go live without going under the nerfbat, we'll have 2 of them in each group which means higher odds of 1 of them being up(as one shammy has to AE CC/interrupt and the other has shearing/buffing-duty).

As a whole, I see this change as a positive one for the good of the game. Sure, as a basebuffer I'll probably be tearing my hair out trying to rebuff everyone while dodging interrupts and keeping the group alive. I also think that as a downside they gave these tools to classes and lines that very much could use the "boost" but these boosted lines are now affecting the role of classes that are already busy doing other things. Anyway, my 2 cents.

Not at all, i'm one of those guys that thinks insta pet already is too much, especially when the only thing the fuckers do is to run, leaving you with the choice to either hit pet and get nailed by then hunter from the back or keep running after the hunter and having a pet in your back with no defence besides AF....I'm one of those guys....

32 beastcraft for insta pet ? :x
i mean, it only decreases evade, blockrate, hits for 70/100, interrupts, pops bubble, tracks down restealthed enemies..

That rather sucks yes ;|

OK. Some things I don't get.

1. Having to have two shammys for full spec buffs. Surely hibs need two druids, albs need two clerics? Is it just more of an issue for mid as buff specced shammy doesn't really do anything else? Do buff specced druids/clerics do a lot else as well?

2. Focus absorb. What is the point of this? One char stationary doing the focus, the other char unable to do anything but move around in a limited area. Is there actually any use for this? So far the only thing I've seen is giving an archer time to line up a shot without getting shot/nuked themselves.

Meanwhile, having nearly levelled my buffbot I welcome these changes. I was finding my shammy fun to play anyway and this will make it even more so :)

I guess the shield has a use against assist trains. With all the damage dealers focusing on one character the shield will effectively tie them up or force them to take another target, rather than just take down opponents one at a time 3 seconds a kill.

Yeah, guess you're too stupid to have a swap weapon in inventory, with snare on it... But what could be expected from an infil, actually having to think on his own? -_-;;

well u had to agree hunters needed a boost, even though i was merely hoping for a melee one this one is fine too

i mean, cute doggies! puppies! give! :D

Yeah 350+dmg hits with a melee weapon on a archer needed a boost :twak: ummm.

I wonder if the hunter will auto destealth when he casts the pets to give non stealthers some fun too.

a ranger is a scout with celtic dual instead of a shield...

oh and a buff line they can spec in if they fancy (completely optional - ignore it completely and you are a scout with celtic dual instead of a shield)

Now lemme think - your main opponents tend to either be other archers or stealthers...

both use Evade (which is halved by DW)
sometimes they have a shield (which is halved by DW)

Why on earth would I want a shield for a high-endurance 9s stun that's a bitch to land on anyone with evade?

oh yes, lets spend x2 spec points over 5 lines for some shit ass Pathfinding, while other stealthers get enough points to spend over theyre 4/5 lines.

if rangers spec decent path finding, theyre gonna gimp theyre Bow/Wep Spec/CD Spec.

tahts why none usally go above 16PF.

and even with 50PF, BB buffs still piss on ranger buffs, i know, i used to be 50PF.

argue all u want, rangers are most gimped out of the archer classes. need more spec points or add LS/Volley into Bow spec Line, where they s hould rightfully be (for all archers)..

also, imo, rangers need base parry of 5%-10% :D, unspecable ofc :p

probably by being pretty skilled and playing alot....

i was just pointing out that saying hunters are fine and then refering to the top 10 doesn;t prove a thing

EVERY class is fine and doesn;t need any luv/help then...cus there's a RR8 or whatever character out there somewhere that seems to do ok...

so every thane in mid should op asking for help just cus montarloo/random other high RR thane does ok?

Hehe,i wanna see 350 dmg with spear tbh :( assansins evade 80% of the hits and rest..well it just misses. Give reactional stun style rather than one from back
