But at 25 stealth they get climb walls, which i'm sure 90% of minstrels will want to do.

and at 30 stealth (safe fall 3) you can jump off milegates without taking damage.

Why would SBs/NSs group more with these changes? So minstrels can climb walls? Big deal, easy to see em with Detect Hidden. And they can jump from MGs aswell? Omfg, will need 2FGs to kill a minstrel now before he can run to a MG and jump off it! :m00:

Whatever, you don't get safe fall, you get climb walls.

and if you autotrain instr, you can get 36 slash 25 stealth ;o

MINSTREL CHANGES

- Minstrels now receive Danger Sense, Distractions, Climb Walls, and Safe Fall I - V by specializing in their Stealth skill. They receive these abilities at the same spec levels that Infiltrators do.

Gimme Gimme stealth!! Currently 50instr, 39slash, 18stealth.

After 1.61 when I get a single line re-spec stone from Caer Sidi ;)

My spec will be 50instr, 29slash,31stealth.

I did crappy dmg with my sword at 39, having 29 wont make too much difference to the fact I cant 1v1 melee hardly any fighter types.

But my pets can still do what they do best! ;)

Anyway I can see us climbing minnies to be grping with infs getting into keeps and choosing our moment to use our 9sec stun and unleash hell. In theory anyway, I guess if sbs/ns are in there I will be just as ded as I am when they see me now ;)

i guess at 1.60 im going

50 instruments - 43-44 slash cant remember how much it gets
and zero stealth...

im highlander and with buffbot i will be a good damage dealer
at emain with groups i usualy dont use stealth so i guess i wont miss it....

i mite turn a gimp :p but i will win all minstrels at 1v1 :p

Aww, that's almost my old spec (but slash is better than thrust which I used to have), and I liked it a lot. Still pondering going back to that ... although safefall 3 possibly is more fun than 4 extra points of weaponskill and a style you never will use ;)

Difference between 30 and 40 slash is about 50 weaponskill unbuffed. That's 6%, so you're looking at 5-10% less damage. Not exactly a huge deal. :p Bonus of 50 instruments is 70 instead of 40 ablative which is quite a large diff.

Lets face it you get sod all damage for specing higher in your weapon :p so might as well get that last power song/ablative chant and get safe fall III

P.S. I'm a pet/group mincer - never going to solo RvR.

.... even Thanes have Rogue dmg table :D talk about being gimps

no you're not and i'm 50/30/30 for reasons quoted. the US minstrels seem to love climb walls ;)

Stealth Changes

My money is on some serious changes to the stealth system. Which would take away detect hidden, camouflage, truesight. If I remember rightly detect Hidden was introduced to help control the original uberarchers (from all 3 realms) which no longer exist to constant and over the top nerfage. This would help bring archer classes back into the game. Reckon they'll be in 1.62 which the scout TL touted a month or so ago.
