Evade III? Chain? gah

Pls dont get me wrong not trying to take anything away from other classes but hunters 'still' have evade 2 and studded, as they were originally gonna have chain so evade was reduced as a result. So can i have evade 3 and chain pls mythic? ta

p.s also think all stealthers should have at least safe fall
p.p.s feel even worse for rangers and scouts as they have had no love at all whereas at least im gonna have my doggeh!

Minstrel who can climb wall makes no sense to me :) Hmm, that shout-thing was a good thing, evade III fine, sense danger - whatever have fun with it :)

Minstrels needed something, and remember this is Pendragon Notes :>

Heh - this patch is getting silly!

What will the minstrel get next? - tune in next week to the 1.60 show to find out kids...

I think Minstrels need PBAOE equal to a chanters and a nice 12 second area effect stun so they can have even more fun...

lol get your facts straight.....

getting up that wall with at least 2 SBs standing next to the climbspot would be the first obstacle....
now, either i'll get my flute out and try to single-mezz the whole lot of defenders and NPC guards one after the other - if i'm lucky and they're all afk, the first one will be out of the mezz when i finished mezzing tha last one, while the lord and the archers on the tower eat up my glorious 1k hps.... if i'm unlucky once i mezzed the first on ethe others will nuke/shoot/hack me to tiny pieces....
OR i'll AE mezz the defenders, watch them stand for about 10 secs unless they purge and hopefully manage to escape in all the lag...

climb walls for mincers is merely fluff, but still damn funneh ;o and a nice improvement of the fun factor (which, if you remember correctly, was about speedbot-level)

all the other stealth skills are useless
- we won't ever get detect hidden or camo

and for the ones who complain about evade III, chain and AA:
rogue HPs(even lower than thanes :D), lowest weaponskill of all the rogues, an absorb buff that takes 70 dmg off a blow every 6 seconds at lvl 50 spec(while the average tank hits you for over 300 every 4 secs...) sure sound overpowered ;o

do some research before you post

smashing it open with his soon-to-be UBER melee skills?

Haha, yet another great thing for albs. When did Mythic do anything good for Mid lately? Still waiting for my poor Thane to get at least Evade1 but noooooooo....they gave 2 extra to Minstrels instead. So what if you are taxi's, still a good group-char.

Seriously as i said before im not against classes getting love, but just for a bit of consistency from mythic as regards their explanations of why some classes can have certain things and others cant.


i.e archers cant have chain and evade 3 but a mincer with speed can, why are archers now the only stealther class that gets jack shit from speccing in stealth etc etc.

Also climb walls is fricken useless for mincers as u say :) safe falls useful tho, and i think thats what most archers would like in a stealth line

I dont seem to remember a class getting goodies in two sucessive versions (a,b,c etc of the same patch before(except for bug fixes)?

I wonder what Mythics strategic plan is - will 1.60 be a fix for the Alb realm alone or will there be things for the other two?

I am a little concerned if its going to be a realm at a time deal?

well tbh if someone farts in my grp when im in camo it tends to reset so it wont make much difference! :)

It would just be nice now that mincers stealth line has been looked at for archers to get something, having said that mythic dont play their own game i dont think so it would probably be along the lines of "when stealthed archers can now do a forward commando roll, this is to allow them to compete in inter-realm rolling races"

Wasnt there a reason why Mythic originally nerfed stealther types???

If you think the minstrel is going to be alone in the stealth bracket in getting new toys I think youll be mistaken.

I dont personally think more powerfull stealthers adds anything to the game?

I wonder what bits of the new toys for Minstrels patches will get through to reality?

A wall climber with even weak cc is an advantage but not Uber and I'd let em keep it.

Chain + Evade 3 seems a bit too good especially with the other ablative chant from the prior version of the patch - plus we'd have to put up with loads of why doesnt my hunter/scout/ranger etc get chain and evade 3 threads (not completely unreasonably tho).

Safe fall will be cool. I still remember the time I killed myself by runnning over the snowdonia cliff at mach 4 less than one tenth of a bubble from levelling :p And at least now, whenever I'm in DF, I can safely attempt to leap over the hib prince gorge without risk of dying due to missing the ladder on the other side :) Clearly a much needed ability... :D

You do realize, that if you gimp all your other lines you can get d.fang as a minstrel?

Mind you, because of 1.5x you'll barely be able to squeak by with 34ish instruments(if you wanna climb walls anyway), but you'll have teh ubar d.fang !!11

Sorry, wrong. They gave minstrels one extra. We have evade 2 at present.
As for it being overpowered, lets compare to other albion classes defence, bearing in mind albion is the defensive realm...

minstrel, evade 3, unspec shield, ablative chant, chain
scout, evade 3, spec shield, studded
infiltrator, evade 7, unspec shield, leather
friar, evade 5, spec parry, absorb buff, leather
mercenary, evade 1, spec parry, spec shield, chain
armsman, spec parry, spec shield, plate
paladin, spec parry, spec shield, af buff/chant, plate

Notice how minstrel defence is still the lowest in the realm of all the speccable weapon classes. We can't spec any defensive line at all, only minstrels and infiltrators can spec a weapon and have this limitation, infs get evade 7 to make up for this, minstrels get the shaft. Evade 3 and chain isn't really that big a deal, it's less defence than a zerker with their evade 3, parry and studded and they get huge offense to boot.

Ehum whats the same realm got do with anything.

Notice how your so called "lowest defence class in the realm" is on par with many mid classes or better defensivly. ;)
