Jupitus said:I've had a 1st hand report from one of my team who struggled to quit that the Alan Carr book was all she needed.... gonna get a copy for myself too tbh.
I read the book and most of it was stuff I had in my head anyway, it was stuff I was questioning. Like how did it all begin and why/how do none smokers not get the cravings....if that makes sense.
His advice is to just stop without any help, just get your head right and stop. I tried this morning without a patch on and it was hell, I put one on before I went the shops and bought ciggies.
He goes on about the first ciggie in the morning being awful so why carry on for the rest of the day with them, I had a problem with that idea because I loved the first one of the day, it was the others that didn't mean as much as the first one.
So if I get to say 10am each morning I am ok for the rest of the day.......with patches on.
The book isn't dear but if you want it PM me your address Jup.
