I'm personally impressed so far, a couple of test searches threw up the usual slew of correct answers and site matches.

For example (yes, these were real at the time of searching)

We didn’t find any results for “quakenet”

We didn’t find any results for “overclockers”

But it's not all bad. It found 250 results for "and".

I can only hope that at the time they had the web server hooked up but the database discs/servers disconnected.

Quakenet picks up the quakenet homepage as #1 also.

Not convinced tbh, however I'd say it's learning quite nicely. The result I got for quakenet brough up the homepage, scripting page and associated sites (help, dev, etc) and the correct categories of IRC Networks, etc, etc.

What I like about it, is that the preview you get shown is better than googles - its easier to sort out trash from results - the only problem is load times are a bit slower.

into ya fav .xml editor (notepad2 ftw) and save it to X/program files/mozila firefox/searchplugins as cuil.xml then ya can use Cuil as a search option, at least till official 1 released.

Note lower case on cuil.xml, wouldn't work as upper case c

Also .xml editted from google.xml and amazon-en=GB.xml

This 1 has the black square/blue inner circle icon.
Also if dropping it into x:/program files/mozill.... don't work, try saving it into
X:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{profile.name}\searchplugins folder. Also works there.

If you seach "google" on google, you get google.co.uk (regional i guess). If you search "cuil" on cuil you don't get cuil

I'd like to see this get some traction, but at the moment the search results are shit. In a lot of cases it seems to drag up every link to the site you're looking for, but not the site itself.

You could just goto Cuil and click where the icons are displayed for quick searches, there should be an option labelled "Add Cuil"
