For those of you who haven't heard of it before, this is the second film released on the subject of... well... think conspiracies gone absolutely loopy and it'll probably not come close. The first one, although true in parts held a fair old amount of extra fluff to try and prove their points i.e.Religion, 9/11 etc etc.

This one though is much much better and although slow at the start, it's one of the best uses of two hours you'll get. Interesting as hell, watch it alone so no talking makes you miss bits...

It was shown at the sundance festival and then released for free for anyone to watch the next day so this is a legal link from their website...

Zeitgeist: Addendum

Don't take everything at face value though, do your own research after watching it otherwise you'd be no better then those who they're talking about anyway. The first one got 8.7 on imdb, this one isn't even up there yet but I'd hazard a guess that despite it being a documentary, it's probably going to end up topping that...

Enjoy...I think...!

edit:Bah, bloody url auto links in small boxes... Go to the actual site : video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7065205277695921912

does it actually contain any facts?
my friend is a nutjob for conspiracy stuff, ufos, crop circles etc. the fault in all of his views is there is no facts. he just says "well there is nothing to say this is false, so it must be true".
but there is also no fact to say it is true either.

It basically turns into quite a few people including an ex-presidencial economic assassins views on things which have happened in the past and how the world is in a bit of peril at the moment with the 'american empire' of economics slowly taking over the world but putting itself in dire straights at the same time... being only 10 years away from economic disaster itself.

The first one summarized with how we're aiming towards a world union whereby a global economy can be enforced leaving those who control the banks practically in charge of everything... how much money goes where is kind of all the power you need in a monetery society. It also talked about religion which although it comes up with some very interesting facts about the egyptian God horus and his amazing similarity to jesus, it does tend to embelish a bit too much saying how other previous creations are the same as well when in fact, they only hold coincidental similarities...horus is a different kettle of fish though.

The reason the second one is so much better is because it's not just the film makers viewpoint for once. He's got together with a number of pretty clever people to talk about the psychology of the human race and why we can never have peace through a monetery system and how the world could and SHOULD be a better place, free of work, money, poverty etc etc and to be honest, it does make quite a bit of sense. I'm no conspiracy theorist but when they start talking about the statistics of just how much energy can be harnessed naturally and the fact so many patents have gone forward aimed to stop people from being able to use them in everyday life because fuel is more profitable...

...well basically, I'm not going to go on for pages about the stats. Short answer after doing a little digging after watching it (never take these films or other peoples opinions at face value) is yes, it does contain facts which is as nice to hear as it is sad to realise.

That's why I didn't post after watching the first one ;) Watch the second, they don't necessarily tie in together. But be warned, the first 20 minutes are dull as hell unless you're into economics but they are necessary to hear the rest I think.

Ooh and it also provides some quite lose solutions too instead of the usual "TERROR" effect of others :D

Always nice to hear some Bill Hicks thrown in for good measure too :)

bollocks, rubish

The first 30 min. was painful for me cause I already saw an excellent video "Money as Debt" which does a better job at the same explanation. And I was generally just disappointed and completely disagree with the second one being better.

I thought it uninspired and he pandered far too much to the layman as if he had no consideration for those who actually started doing research after the first. I admit Zeitgeist, the movie was flawed but I found it far better than the Addendum.

I watched the first one numerous times but I am not going to watch the Addendum again. Peter Joseph has been compromised somehow, this is truly not what I was expecting...

Glad someonelse has a different opinion :) If people didn't it'd lead to a very dull society. People reading this though, GeniusSloth thinks the first one is better, I think the second but despite our differences, I'd still encourage everyone to watch it whether it's to think "holy fuck" or to be content in the knowledge that it's false... if you so beleive that ;)

What with the financial crisis threads going on at the moment it's probably as topical as it'll get until the whole thing comes crashing down in the next few decades... if you beleive what they say.

It's interesting to do some reading up on it though; ignoring some of the religious embellishment (sp?), I can't disprove much of what they say...

seen it before, always watch these things with an open mind approach. Although what is said should always be taken with a pinch of salt :)
