Having a nice little chat in irc and Trenial asks me to duel him. So i say, okay i'll duel an armsman with my NS. I run up to apk from DF, and wait for Trenial. Trenial comes, so I unstealth /bow /wave etc. he beckons me to follow him so i do, 1 second later I'm attacked from behind by Zagg. Who proceeds to kill me.

Well done Zagg, hope it was worth the RPs, but i really think u should learn the concept of fun sometimes?

Anyways I dunno whats worse, that Zagg was lame enough to be a dickhead to attack me when i was about to start dueling trenial and trenial was asking zagg to stop.

Or that Zagg just happened to arrive at the right place at the right time to ambush me when i was about to start dueling trenial?

Oh well, no more duels with albs for me again, and no more duels for a while anyways.

Albs display uber skill tactics once again :clap:

1st of all no one listen to treniel :p

2nd why is he lame stopping a duel doesnt say any where in any part of coc that stopping duels isnt allowed

3rd mebe he sees duels as being lame and not true to the spirit of the game

he doesnt use irc so wouldnt have known about the duel .........if i see someone fighting a mid or hib i dont stop to think umm mebe there dueling i had better ask if its ok to attack 1st............


if u wanted to duel do it somewhere out of the way ffs where people wont interfere with your duel


last point any need to call zagg a lamer? your in the fronteers = rvr zone = expect to be attacked on sight so pls dont be a tosser and think before you post lame flame threads like this

Yep Zagg duels.

I remember duelling Daws early one morning at AMG and my Triple Wield killed him. As I sat to rest Zagg killed me. Maybe every realm has to have a Wrathofbuffbot?

Why lame?

Duels are about 1 vs 1 in a semi controlled fight where who has the most numbers/invisibility count for nothing. It's about testing your class against another, how your spec stacks up and to a limited degree the players skill and quick timing.

PS Zagg was at the duels and was actively dueling.

Yes, I have nothing against duels, that are not RP farming (meaning to stop duelling before the opponent gets killed - even I manage to stop in time stop before my opponent dies, and I use poison).

I participated in organized duels on 3 occasions. Mostly because of boredom, since the duells tend to stop every regular kind of RvR. I duell every day in RvR and have no real interest in organized ones, but I do understand, that other classes don't get 1 on 1 fights very often and thus like those events. Therefore I will not spoil duels, if I know that's what is going on.

I did kill very few people at duells on purpose (only remeber Mikhail, who killed Edelia twice and could have easily stoped in time). I only do it, if they clearly killed their opponents not by accident. I don't remember this event with Cjkace, but if I misjudged the situation, then please accept my appologies.

Your story fom my side: I am at mmg and Gilannor pm's me, that he got killed and atk is camped. I hate enemy stealthers, that camp our portal to feast on blues and all those casters that still move alone to amg - so I stealth the long way from mmg to atk. As I arrive there, Treniel passes me coming from amg as well, you unstealth, Treniel moves away from you - and of course I move in to kill you. After a while Treniel starts screaming at me, and I figure out something is wrong. I was about to stop, when Treniels abusive language got even more abusive, so I figured f... it - and proceeded to kill you, still thinking you were the guy that killed earlier. Only later I found out, that it wasn't you. So ... sorry m8, but I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, thinking the wrong things and you had to suffer from it. But please, next time you want to duel with Treniel, please don't do it right in front of atk ...

anyway to summarize, if u wanna duel in a active RvR zone (cmon right in front of atk in emain?? u thought u would be left alone there?) then dont be suprised if this sort of thing happens.

nothing wrong with dueling aslong as its not farming, but a nme player is a nme player regardless. do u honestly belive that if a couple hibs had come along mid fight they would have left treniel alone and let u fight? i think not

Zagg - I saw screenies of what trenial said to u, ur full of shit, u basically wanted to free RPs.

Radhghast- the reason i was dueling at apk was because trenial insisted in irc that he wouldnt be able to meet at levian ridge since he couldn't get htrough amg, so i went to apk.

Anways I didn't expect to beat trenial or anything was just supposed to be a fun thing. Oh well, no more duels for me for a while, i'll stick to perfing tanks when they are 30% and casters when I see them :p

As for hibs, yes If i'm fighitng someone and hibs come along and i tell em to stop i'm pretty sure they would, because they respect other people etc..

- Polearm armsman vs Ns. LOL
- Do u realy think the best place to do a duel is Apk?

I see a lot of times Zagg cleaning our atk of sbs and ns what is a much appreciated work. If you are a Ns next time find a better place to duel or you will be killed again.

And please next time use another kind of titles for your posts, maybe posting in this way you are the real lamer....

I kind of was expecting this. It's your choice to believe me or not and if RP is all you worried about, you can have them back next time we meet.

I have no problem with you posting a screeny or log of the "conversation" with Treniel. I told him he same I told you and I apologised to him as well.

People do make mistakes at 7 in the morning after being up all night - even Hibs do sometimes ...

I could see your case somewhat IF YOU WEREN'T DUELING RIGHT OUTSIDE APK IN EMAIN.

What the hell do you expect to happen? Meet near the graveyard inside amg, noone's there. Preferably outside entire emain as people usually are there to RP farm and in general will kill on sight. Anyone who enters emain and has some clue knows that you can't run around expecting people to play honourable or your way.

I run around as lone Cleric in emain every once in a while, I like actual not arranged 1on1s. Of course I get ganked loads by Skald parties :) Sometimes I wish they'd have some honour and spare a obviously lone and unthreatening person but why should they? I know better luckily.

Hmm i'd have a lot of sympathy if you hadnt done it where someone was bound to pitch in. If you're gonna duel IRC PM the person ur duelling with an out-of-the-way loc and meet them there.

Incidentally LoxelyHood if you read these forums wouldnt mind a melee duel with you. Never fought you in melee.

Well in last few days Zagg has duelled me lots in gorge, ive found him to be fair(after all 1 PA while i rested= me dead). So maybe its a new zagg or he was just missunderstood before or has changed :)

Calling people from other realms lame because they kill you are IMO pretty lame itself. Every enemy are for me KoS, no matter con. If someone's duelling and get killed by someone coming by, that's tough luck.
Duels are not sacred in any way, even GOA says you shouldn't be surprised to get your duels interferred with by passing realmguards, OTHER PLAYERS, etc.
So you got killed, what a shame, for you.
Stop calling people lame because they kill you in RvR zones, they're COMPLETELY entitled to do so, without you calling them names and things.

what Chenuba said and FFS stop organizing big duels at mile gates, its disrupts the whole RvR for that zone, do it samewhere remote.

Now comon peeps, you call people lame for stopping duels? You can't really expect that everybody leaves you alone because you want to duel?

It's the frontiers it's RvR, if you see an enemy you can kill him that's the facts.

Duels can be fun but they are allways in danger of being interrupted, live with that or don't duel ;).
