Post your worst and best movies you've seen! I'll start.

Worse - Creep. This movie is just plain and simple load of shite. I hated ever minute of watching it, people have said it's a brilliant film and i thought it was a bag of wank.

Best - John Q, the story lines awesome and based on a true story makes it all better. Also butterfly effect!

Worst "Poseidon" Awful SFX, virtually no story and crap acting from a rubbish cast.

Best "The Shawshank Redemption"

best film i've ever seen is possibly chungking express, but it's so hard to choose because there's films i like equally but for different reasons etc.

worst has to be anything like pirates of the caribean, harry potter and all that rubbish. those kinda films just represent everything i hate about the film industry.

Best film - Probably "Dazed and Confused", seen it loads of times.

Worst film - The only film I've ever stopped watching. I pride myself on being able to watch pretty much everything and get some kind of enjoyment out of it (including most of the films listed by the previous posters). But "Closer" was, in my opinion, a big bag of pretentious wank.

That said, a friend of mine says it's the best film she's ever seen. Each to their own. :)

sorry m8 no offence meant but i couldnt help myself :p

i like plenty of 'mainstream' films, as you put it. i just don't like those particular types of films. your comment is really silly. film taste is a completely subjective, personal thing - i answered the questioned posed in the thread. if i really wanted to look 'leet' then i would have given some long list of arthouse films and admonished everyone who didn't pick something 'high brow' for their choice, but i didn't. i'm sorry if my taste in films offends you. grow up.

Just recently i've seen Boondock Saints, on Aesgir's reccomendation. Have to say, it boots Taxi Driver off the top spot.

Worst however, oooh, tough one. Charlies Angels: Full Throttle next too Charlies Angels (Me and a mate got ropped into watching both by a pair for female mates. I'd have said no, but 6 pairs of boobs are just too damn hard to resist), there both nothing more than '3 women in alluring outfits' thats it. There not even cheesy, just horrible.

worst had got to be fucking Hellboy,

Well, it will look ridicilous if you don't know the comics. Jsut like watching, hell, superman without knowing sh*t all about it.

Hellboy is loyal to the bone and true to the comics. Probably one of the best comic movies ever made.

Anyhoo, didn't mean to rant...

Worst: Nemesis 3. I dare you to find a worse movie.
Best: If i have to choose, 5th element. Can watch it as many times as it's on.

Worst:
Censi III!!!
No, not really, but Knight Club.. Not Fight Club! KNIGHT Club! Worst movie ever, by far! It's about a bouncer who moves up the ladder and finally ends up in the biggest club in the city! Don't watch it! Shitty..!

Best:

Too many good ones to mention.. I've seen Boondock Saints so many times, that I've grown tired of it

Best: Don't have a "best film of all times" - so I'll post the best film I've seen this week: Se7en

Worst: Again, there have been some truly awful movies, one springs to mind is: The Village, M Night Shamalayayalananan's awful piece of shite.

Pirates of the Caribbean cant be on that list. Its got Johnny Depp in it so automatically classes at above average and the rest only pulls the movie further up :)

heh, i'm actually a fan of johnny depp. having worked in a cinema for 2 years though, i can only say that you do not know the pain of working on the opening weekend of pirates. including the idiots who dress up as pirates to sit in the dark and watch the film. this has slightly tarred any enjoyment i may have gotten out of the film. ;)
