Films staring Adam Sandler or Robin Williams imo are in my top 5 comedy films, an old great of mine is bio-dome. I'm a fan of older comedies. Some of the Ealing stuff was genius. Terry Thomas should go down in cinema history as one of the great comic actors (or at least one of the most iconic).

Most of the stuff Will Hay did looks pretty awful now but if anyone's seen Where's That Fire? they'll remember the scene where they try and get a new fireman's pole into their station... one of the best comic setpieces I've ever seen.

Some of this stuff is reflected in the list below:

Dumb and Dumber (for the kid in all of us. The bit where Harry hits the woman in the face with the snowball is just classic.)
