That is why Cruijff is not considered a legend.

By you.

Thankfully everyone else who knows anything about the game considers him a legend along with Pele, Maradonna and Beckenbaur.

Just google Cruyff and Legend. Its not hard to see its plastered everywhere.

That pretentious wank puts me right off your signature tbh. Not to mention inaccurate: £34.2m for David Villa wasn't it? Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes that look like small change though, second highest transfer fee ever at £60.7 million.

Going back a bit further in time we have Marc Overmars signed from Arsenal for £25m, Ronaldinho for £21m, Rivaldo and Saviola for £16m a piece.

Home grown my arse.

Having this discussion in the office today, so had a look into it. Change your sig Marc.

FC Barcelona - Player changes, player transfers - transfermarkt.co.uk

Transfer spending at Barca by season, quite shocking just how much money the big two in spain actually spend.

34 million ain't it? And if Cesc doesn't go for more than £40million, then I feel sorry for Arsenal fans.

Yeah, 40m euros, didnt know the exchange rate so guessed at £30m.

Not a lot you can do though if a player wants to leave. He has his heart set on a move back home, playing in front of 90k people, week in, week out, in a team blessed with superhuman ability. He is pining for the sophistication of la rambla instead of the hedonistic and seedy sights of soho.

I still think he's likely to give Arsenal one more season.

Where would Fabregas fit in in a midfield containing Xavi and Iniesta though? I don't think there would be much need for him. Better playing a holding midfielder imo, another Xavi/Ineista style player would just be too many cooks spoiling the broth.

Holding - Keita
CM x 2 - Xavi, Fabregas
LW /RW - Iniesta/Messi
CF - Villa

Alternatively, drop Keita and play with 3 CMs in Iniesta/Xavi and Fabregas and bring back Pedro. Xavi has covered at holding before and plays from deep anyway

Would be my guesses.

Fabregas will fill the role that Xavi will vacate when he retires or declines in a few years time. I certainly don't believe that there is space for him in Barcelona's midfield at the moment. I think he should move in one or two years time.

Just shuuuuuut up you tiresome knownowt fuckwit. How can you say "I certainly don't believe that there is space for him in Barcelona's midfield at the moment". Do you really think we would want to sign him as a squad player sub. Thankfully Pep isnt as retarded as you.

Marc I just saw a danish paper talking about a City bid on Zlatan at around €35mil, but can't seem to find anything about it elsewhere? Any confirmation on this?

I wouldn't put it past Guardiola. He has spent vast amounts of money on players like Ibrahimovic, Chygrynskiy and Keirrison. My sources tell me that Fabregas will move in a year or two, and I am very confident he will - considering I have predicted nearly all of the transfers so far :).

No you havent. You claimed Ibrahimovic was going to Liverpool, Torres to Barcelona and Silva and Villa to Man United.

You are a fuckwit

tbh, i'm on a football site everyday with alot of spanish people, so also alot of barca fans. And almost all agree that they simply don't need fabregas atm. Or he will be a sub, or he will take iniesta's place who will then take pedro's place which would be just stupid to waste that talent.

And what about the other big talents? assulin, Thiago , J dos santos, Jeffren?

Sure he is worldclass, but you know will pay the top price for him.

If you don't believe that your own country can win it, what is the point in watching then?

We beat Portugal 3-2 in Portugal. You didn't score against Japan.. Good luck at the WC

New sig I feel :D

edit:// Oh and Olga, you, me and Marc I believe are the only two left with 5 teams still left in it.
