prolly old but got it in a e-mail this morning so is new to me :p

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor
and make clockwise circles with it.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your
right hand. Your foot will change direction!!!

it changes direction because your finger is moving anti-clockwise, its the same as the pat your head and rub your tummy thing :p

im sure thats just because both your leg and foot are controlled by the same hemisphere in your brain?

pat the tummy and rub stomach is easy. that could be because ive taught my self to do it from a young age though.

try drawing the 6 with your left hand a moving your right foot clockwise :p you can do it. Are you all right handed & right footed/left handed & left footed? Some people are right/left & left/right, and it may not work for them.

If you draw the 6 going clockwise, from the center out wards then you can actually keep your foot from changing direction. Im such a spoiler :D

Didn't have any problems spinning my legs and drawing my 6's, but i got damn weird looks from co-workers.

Might be 'cause i was smiling like a n-n-n-nutjob from bellview and going "Weeeeeeeee!!!" at the same time.

I don't get the part about the foot having a mind of its own, isn't it more like it not having a mind of its own? If the foot did have a mind of its own it would without any problem be able to keep spinning in a clockwise circle whilst you are doing a 6 with your hand.
