Found this on Wikipedia, made me laugh a lot...yes you too can speak like a moron and be accepted into a brotherhood of hyperactive 15 year olds!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet

This may become popular soon:

Cans of pwnage is a newly evolving term in 1337speak, which is traditionally used to denote "ownage" or "pwnage" in which the 1337 person (person A) typically pwns the "nubcake" or "nubcaek" (person B).

The definition of !111:

The number 1 and the word "one" instead of exclamation points (!). Often used to show intense sarcasm (OMG I R TEH BEST!!!!11!one!11). Further, another common usage in this context is "eleven" as a substitute for multiple exclamation marks, as in: "I r0xx0red j00!!!!1!!11one!!eleven!!". Again this context denotes (extreme) sarcasm, or, as you have to get "!" when you hold "shift" and "!", they may simply let go of "shift" early while holding "1"

Man...get a grip:

# Along this line is the mispelling of "?" following the same line of "!" The most common being "/" and "slash", as in: W@t r j00 ta1kin b0u+, n00b???//??/?slash? ("What are you talking about newb?")
# In addition to the "one," "two," and "slash" being used to accentuate the sarcasm of the statement, "+shift" or "+shifty" is used in the same manner, for example: "NOWAI!!11one1!one+shifty"

Anyway, great guide - read and giggle away! Oh, and if you can draw a lot of parallels to the information inside...

Leet is utter bollocks. Total shite.

Tolkein would be rolling in his grave at such grossly flagrant abberative abuse of the English language. Its literary dessecration worshipped by ignorant iconoclasts at the altar of illiteracy.

Why do people think it makes them look cool ? It makes you appear to have the intelligence of a cucumber.

so 10100111001 !!!!:D

I think it's comical, I think people who go over the top about hating it should chill a bit, its really nothing to get uptight about.

I find it interesting, I've seen and used it alot, I prefer proper english when talking seriously, but when having a joke around it does have its uses.

*chuckle* nubcakes hehehe

tbh i quite like it its funny and its really quite interesting to watch a new language evolving bet the cave men thought "hark at those bozo's making them stupid sounds, pfft what a tosser!" when some of them started communicating verbally too.

And also i find that l33t has words that are far better to express certain things.

and its already lasted longer than esperanto lol
