Just watching this program now on BBC3. It's been a while since I've wished death on anyone I haven't met but there are several good examples in this program. Natural selection has some catching up to do in this country.

But my parents pretty much spoiled me and my sister when we were kids and both of us have worked full time since leaving school, at least until my sister got made redundant recently, but she is trying to become a teacher now. These kids have some really lame excuses for not working, one even said it stresses her out and she can't concentrate

You and your sister were smart enough to do something and nto just loiter, get what's given, take the pampering etc.

If someone is just not smart enough to get that(for example these people you speak of), is it really their fault?

I'm not saying there aren't some lazy f*cks out there, but if someone honestly doesn't know better, surely it's not a fault as it's not intentional.

For those that haven't seen the program, these people aren't living off benefits. Their parents all appear to be reasonably well off and are supporting their child's lifestyle which is primarily just enjoying themselves or in some cases doing nothing at all.

The parents certainly have to take a large fraction of the blame but the young people themselves certainly aren't entirely blameless.

Do people do that though? its not that easy to get a job as you think it is. I do voluntary work and Ive got experience in about 10 different job roles but I cant get anything except temping work.

I can go for part time jobs, but sadly I would end up worse off financially than being on the dole for most of them. That cuits the amount of jobs I can apply for straight away. s there any point doing if it i end up WORSE OFF?

I do remember when i was going through uni that i can go from job to job without any problems!

Job center are an absolute joke. I arranged my own work trial with an estate agents - I've never done it before, so I wanted to try it, they wanted to see if I would be suitable. I was told I could not be signed on while doing a work trial, even if it is unpaid. What an absolute joke. To make it worse she signed my "looking for work diary" without reading a single word on it.

last time I had anything to do with jobcenters the woman was supposed to coach me seemed genuinely shocked that I'd gotten a job before she had had the opportunity to do hers.

Tonights episode infuriated me more because some of them were actually trying to do it properly, but 2 of them are just an absolute waste of space, the 18 year old college drop out and the 25 year old ugly bitch who seem to think the world revolves around them and if anything is said against them its unjust and unfair.

I think I must enjoy being angry or something.
